To Deep Space 13 Command Crew
Jolan tru. As you might imagine, certain records have become elusive these last few years. The destruction of the home world coupled with Tal Shiar destruction of numerous colonies means that, unfortunately, I don't really have much information to give you with regards to Subcommander Davin. That said, know that I would not insist that he operate within your fleet if I had even the slightest doubts about his loyalty and abilities. The following is what we have been able to piece together from what records we do have.
Full name: Davin T'varros (last name adopted)
Born: Unknown, post-Stardate 64444.5 (Hobus Event)
Training: Ships Engineer (training informal, but passes all Republic aptitude tests within the tenth percentile)
Assignment history:
R.R.W. T'varta, assumed role of Acting Captain when primary bridge was lost with all command crew.
R.R.W. Cestron, Ensign, promoted to Centurion and Subcommander while serving aboard. Received several decorations for outstanding service to the Republic.

Subcommander Davin has repeatedly proved himself to the Republic, beyond any doubts that a lack of formal records might cast. With the fleet growing stronger each day, and skirmishes with Tal Shiar and Elachi forces being forced further from Mol'Rihan, I believe the Subcommander would be most valuable in your hands. Barring orders from Mol'Rihan Command, he is at your disposal. Jolan tru.

So I did some digging on the other Mandukar. His dossier is beyond useless, but I pulled some strings, cross referenced just about everything we have access to, and did some other impressive sounding labwork I doubt you cloak and dagger types truly appreciate, and I've come up with this (rough, don't judge me) amended file.

Mandukar, Davin T'Varros

DOB: Pre-Stardate 64444.5,
Age: Approx. 38 Terran Std. Years
Species: Romulan(2)
I was able to find military files for Vallir and D'Kera Mandukar(3) from 64441.9 and they list a shared ch'Rihan address, so it stands to reason that Davin is a native of Romulus. I also found a ship registered to Vallir Mandukar(4), a transport registered as Talla. That ship is listed destroyed in the Hobus Event(5) and there had been no trace of him since, so presumably he was killed. I also found a Siras T'Varros(6) listed in Romulan military files and the database we salvaged from Jouret IV, so presumably we know who raised him.
There isn't much on Davin prior to the 'Ecurai-n Llaihr'(7) [literal translation: Hopes' Death], but from what we can gather this [REDACTED] lunatic took a decommissioned T'Varo(8) and either rammed a Khnial-class and survived, or he's a [REDACTED] wizard because somehow he managed to cripple the I.R.W. Okhala(9) with enough of a ship left to reach the Azure Nebula.
From here we pretty much know his service record, and I think the run-in with Okhala and 'Mommy Dearest' explains the alias he gave the Republic when they picked him up.
I know this is a Prelim, but I'm fine letting it stand until we learn something else or t'Veras spills whatever she hadn't told us yet.
(1)Did you know Romulans have something like five names? I didn't.
(2)DNA tests revealed a slight variance. Romulan systems say he's got something called a 'Debrune' in his ancestry about 5 generations back.

These two have some ties to some SERIOUSLY blacked out Dominion War files in our database. I can't even scratch the surface there.
