Since the end of the Iconian War, Strike Force Kargas has been tasked with more generalized goals including the defense of the Klingon-Federation border and the elimination of rogue factions and other enemies of the Empire.
Strike Force Kargas is commanded by General Wrot'Ka. In practice, command of Kargas missions and battlegroups generally falls to other senior strike force personnel, such as Captain Krag, Dahar Master.

The so-called "Time of the Tyrants" is a period in Klingon culture acknowledged as a dark time. It is often the subject of tragic Klingon operas, where cruel leaders and warlords are brought down by their own lack of honor. Many legendary Klingon heroes appear in this period, heroes such as Kargas.
According to legend, a Klingon warlord named Kargas hit upon the idea of bringing different houses together without forcing them to become one house. Instead, as individuals and families joined a house, so could houses join together to form a nation, working together for their mutual benefit. It was a radical idea, but Kargas made it work through a combination of cunning diplomacy and persuasion at the point of his sword. The heirs of his enemies were allowed to keep their house and their title, so long as they swore oaths of loyalty to the House of Kargas. More importantly, houses were allowed to join Kargas' new alliance of their own free will, and some did once they saw the potential benefits.
Kargas and his allies are believed to have built the Klingon city that still bears his name, the first true city-state on Qo'noS. Although the city has been conquered, destroyed, and rebuilt many times over thousands of years, Kargas' original alliance lasted for generations before the tides of war brought down his house, which is lost in the mists of legend.
The idea of the city-state spread through Klingon society, and other houses began to form alliances of their own. From these new city-states emerged the first true signs of modern Klingon ideas of nobility, along with blood feuds between houses, which began during this time.
Wrot’Ka son of Krett brought honor to his House through years of devoted service to the Klingon Empire. His methods were often criticized by his fellow warriors, namely his common use of non-Klingon crewmembers and troops. He was known to give prominent positions to those of non-Klingon blood, something that is rarely done as prestigious positions are often reserved for true Klingons with honor and Houses in good standing with the High Council.
Many enemies had come to expect traditional Klingon tactics, this gave the United Federation of Planets a decisive advantage, and ultimately ending, the Federation-Klingon war (2372-2373), a war Wrot’Ka had fought in. During the onset of the Second Federation-Klingon war, the United Federation of Planets had come to anticipate Klingon tactics.
Colonel Wrot’Ka had learned from his previous engagements with Starfleet that what was needed was an “unknown element.” The positioning of non-Klingon Senior Officers and Enlisted members of the KDF proved to be an ever challenging tactic for the enemies of the Empire to overcome. No longer did challengers of the Empire simply face Klingon tactics from Klingon ships, they faced a vast assembly of non-Klingons aboard various ships utilizing their own unique strategy and tactics.
Seeing the success such a conglomeration had against Imperial enemies, the High Council ordered the formation of Strike Force: Kargas in honor of what the legendary Kargas had achieved on Qo’noS with bringing separate Houses together to achieve the same goal. Wrot’Ka was promoted to General and given command of the non-traditional Strike Force that he had assembled from broken units fighting along the front lines of the second Federation-Klingon war.
Strike Force: Kargas spearheaded the assault on the Pi Canis Sector Block and ultimately turned this once UFP claimed territory into a widely disputed region where many star systems now belong to the Klingon Empire. Their vast success has been directly attributed to the multitude of various race-specific ships operating with their own tactics. Those that oppose the Klingon Empire, to include the UFP, have found it nearly impossible to accurately defend against the ever changing strategies of Strike Force: Kargas brought about by the assembly of, what is considered to be, an unconventional force operating as a cohesive military unit.

Strike Force Kargas is Argo's KDF-faction fleet. SFK is an alt fleet and, as such, does not have the same level of daily activity as you'd expect from Argo. Instead, SFK reserves one day each month for KDF RP.
All Argo members are welcome to bring their KDF characters into the fleet. Since there is no alt application process for SFK, we simply ask that everyone create their characters responsibly (Max. rank Captain, no generals/dahar masters, no changelings, etc.)
