I commanded the element that secured the general population during the Task Force Argo response to the 788 distress message. Because of my familiarity with the system, Captain Tesni delegated command of the two ship group to myself.
I commanded the:
- USS Tethys Sea, Commander Jerico Ramirez
- USS Kindred, Captain Tesni
When we arrived in the system, we determined that the general population area was not under a level 5 lockdown as it should have been. An away team from both vessels beamed to the station. Upon entering the station, we found several dozen detainees loose in the general population area of the station. It appears that the local lockdown had been ineffective. We stunned or subdued the detainees we came across.
Upon reaching the operations room of this part of the station, we found out that it appears a group of mercenaries had built a small device, intent on over-riding the security systems in this part of the station, in order to ensure the level 5 lockdown was ineffective. They had emplaced a crude device on the operations consoles. We have submitted the device to Command for exploitation.
We were able to restore security to the General population area and return control to the station operators, before returning to our respective ships.
There was no damage to either vessel, and no significant injuries to the away team.
