DEBRIEF MINUTES: October-1a-6 Planetary Survey and Encounter with Borg

Stardate: 90473.2Report Submitted: LCDR K. Sedai

Survey Expedition arrived in orbit of 1a-6 as scheduled, no hitches.

Expedition deployed three satellites in orbit of planet as per protocol.

Initial quick data findings from monitoring satellites

  • M-class planet
  • Mass: 6,232,000,320,321,000,000,000,000 kg
  • Atmosphere with some similar elements as what Milky Way humanoids are used to, but with toxic proportionalities: nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, potassium
  • Average surface temperature around equator: 90 degrees celsius
  • Length of 1 day: 35 standard hours

Ground survey team discovered desert terrain. High wind velocities created severe dust storms, lowering visibility. Limited plant life, including a variety that has evolved to fly.

Survey team decided to propose "Serados", Nexan for 'desert', as planet's name.

Upon departure from the planet, Borg signatures were discovered dropping out of orbit. Three probes were identified and were, as typical of the Borg, unresponsive to survey team's inquiries.

When one probe deployed its tractor beam against the Saratoga, survey vessels opened fire on the probes and made fairly quick work of them, though the Saratoga lost eleven hands due to being in the crossfire.

Borg's presence in the system is thus far unexplicable.
