STARDATE: 90517.8TO: CAPT. Coby MortonFROM: Holo-Programming Center, Health Applications Division - Ganymede Station

Greetings, Captain(s).

It's my utmost pleasure to explain that a member, or select few, from under your command have been requested to take part in an experimental prototype program. As you are most already aware, the work carried out by those here working in tandem with Jupiter Station have been able to maintain and update the now distinguished Emergency Medical Hologram program for numerous years and as technological advancements are presented, we're able to increase the efficiency and decrease the time taken to create duplicates, subroutines and general code repairs. This benefits not only those working on the facilities with our work in use, but also those who crafted the work themselves, allowing improvements to continuously flow forward for a brighter future in the Federation and its care.

Our latest project has lead us into the prototype stage, requiring the need for personality data-types, physical appearance models and most importantly: Experience. As with our updates to the Emergency Medical Hologram, our latest work will be reaching across the Federation for some of the more distinguished, though that is in no means to separate the fine work all officers of the fleet proceed to carry out, but those tailoring a career in the psychiatric department for a decorated length have been brought up for consideration in this new project:

The //Personal Counseling Hologram// - still currently a working title.

Resources being pooled into the development of the latest on-demand program will be placed to fantastic use, and on a personal note wanted to extend my personal congratulations to the candidates being considered for physiological templating, their experience will truly be of vast assistance to making the program the best of its class. Being able to state you know of such a candidate and to have them serve not only under you but along side, must be the greatest of honors, and I can already tell this project is going to be a marvel.

Congratulations, Captain. I'll try to keep this short and to the point, I feel no need to waffle too much as a lot of it is self explanatory for you.

The candidate selected to warrant your receiving of this is one //Lieutenant Commander Katriel Eden Sedai// - Her continued assignment aboard Deep Space Thirteen

It's my responsibility to manage the income and attendance of those distinguished officers to take part. I've been looking over your roster, and our selection may come as no surprise to you, though should you have any complaints and in turn refuse the request, we will hold no ill will, but please note the good of the Federation's mental health would surely be put to risk. Starting off, it's my job to tell you that it's your job to inform Dr. Sedai of her requested attendance, thought it might be nice to receive it from a ranking officer rather than straight from the words of those on the project. We will be expecting to hear back from the Lieutenant Commander as soon as possible, without hassle. If we're unable to receive contact from them or yourself in due time, we will assume the position was declined and replace them with one of the other stand-by candidates that were just narrowly missed from selection due to time restraint and the lack of need.

For whatever it's worth, if you feel there's anyone in particular who feel deserves the position more, feel free to add it in addition to yours or Dr. Sedai's send.

Persuasion is authorized.

Commander Demarcus Boyd Holmquist.

Salutations Dr Sedai,

Please let me be the first to extend thanks on behalf of 'Project Listen' for your acceptance and participation in our humble project. I understand that you previously contacted us here at the station to ask for additional information before making your decision and I am pleased to see that the answers you received have convinced you to come along with us on this exciting new venture into psychological health and wellness.

As previously discussed, I'm writing to confirm that due to your acceptance, we will be organizing a small team of project specialists to attend and coordinate your contributions to a prototype template of your very own. My assistant will be coordinating with DS13 station personnel to reserve a small lab for our use during the prototyping phases.

Again, thank you for your participation. Though we have an approved outline to follow in the upcoming months, please remember that this is an experimental project for which we are constantly revising best practices and even some project parameters, so expect things to change as we learn what works best together! I look forward to meeting and working with you soon.

Good morning, Captain Morton.

As you know, I've been situated at the Risian 'Project Listen' hub for the past two weeks and I'm afraid I have some unfortunate news that will force us to impose yet more on Deep Space 13's hospitality.

Just yesterday, a cluster of weather regulators malfunctioned and caused a severe case of flooding in the facilities where the Risian team was completing their work. Several of our specialized terminals have been damaged beyond repair, while others are in need of uncommon parts that will require several weeks to requisition. It has been decided that the best way forward would be to move the team at Risa to DS13 instead, at least for the duration of the season.

I can assure you, Captain, that we will not be occupying another of your valuable holodecks for this additional venture. The two teams may share the space in current holodeck just fine, though we would greatly appreciate a few empty offices in supplement. If it is not already self-evident, I would request additional guest quarters for the staff and their subjects. I've enclosed their dossiers below for clearance purposes.

You may anticipate our arrival in approximately two days.

Good afternoon, Captain Perim.

My efforts to recover Project Listen's forward trajectory in the light of the catastrophic recent events have concluded, so I felt it best to deliver to you a summary of the results. Ganymede Station and Starfleet have agreed that the Project will continue as planned and see final release, though with a couple caveats.

1 - in light of evidence to suggest that our template subject histories might endanger the subjects' lives, Ganymede has elected to take extra precautions in obfuscating each hologram's connection to their template. Not only will extra security and scrambling algorithms be applied to obstruct direct memory retrieval, every hologram's physical appearance will be modified sufficiently so as to not be singled out through unaided visual inspection, nor computer-assisted identification methods.

As a point of interest, it has been suggested that we prepare some legal avenues to allow every subject to give permission for their image to be used in post-mortem, when the subject is no longer at risk. I am, in particular, keen to see that our volunteers get their due for their participation in this program, so this is likely something that I will continue to chase.

2 - We were unable to receive final legal permission to release Counselor Merrati's hologram. Between the lack of direct permission from the man himself and Starfleet's concern that something objectionable remains in his hologram's matrix, I was unable to convince the board to honor Merrati's death by publishing his final work. If we were certain what it was in Merrati's history that had caused the attempt on his life, this perhaps would have ended differently. I remain hopeful that DS13's investigations into the matter may yet change this result.

I appreciate your continued patience in these matters and for continuing to host my team without qualm. Please rest assured, we will be out of your hair soon.

Relevant parties will be interested to know that in the latest Starfleet Psychology reader's digest includes an extended expose on Project Listen and its successful release to a limited audience while the program is in beta. Obtaining a copy of your very own Personal Counseling Hologram is now possible, provided an officer follow the necessary steps to requisition the program through Starfleet Medical.

EXPECTED USE CASE: You are an individual officer who wishes to obtain a Personal Counseling Hologram for your needs alone. After your requisitions application is approved, you will be provided the program on a specialized datachip, both hardwired and software-keyed to your biometrics, which can be rendered on any standard holodeck or used in conjunction with a mobile holo-emitter. Every program includes all twenty-nine possible templates to select from. Startup of the program includes a sophisticated analysis of you (as the patient) to find a recommended match, but if you are dissatisfied with the recommended template, free perusal of the others will become available.

Those who are ... deliberately searching for Katriel's template will have a bit of a trial with it, now that it doesn't look anything like her. They have 15 female templates to interact with, so it'll take time to go through them all and none of them will identify with anything to do with "Katriel", "Sedai", or even as Betazoid. It is possible however; those who are more auditory-inclined have the best shot in finding Katriel's template in the shortest amount of time by identifying via her voice.

The template that matches has been named "AMIE".

For the paranoid ones: said voice print, for the record, is immune to computerized IDing processes. Excess digital noise has been scattered through every voice print sample, undetectable by regular hearing, but enough to scramble any digital methodology of attempting to match voices to a database. The security guys did their homework!
