SUBJECT: Logistic Supply Pick Up

As you know the dwarf galaxy Starfleet has dubbed as "the Outback" is quite a ways a way. Even the trek from the heart of Federation controlled space to the Alpha Quadrant entrance of the Caspian Wormhole is a rather lengthy trip at speeds of up to warp factor nine.

As another year has come to pass and we all now sit on the freshly formed edge of 2415, requisition and logistics reports from every arm and digit of Starfleet were sent into the main logistics department based out of the Sol System not but two months back. This being so, I've been informed by the head of Starfleet Logistics that 26th Fleet marked shipments will be diverted to Deep Space 13 sometime with in the next two standard weeks.

I now reach out curious as to if your station staff is aware of the exact stardate we can expect this supply shipment and so I can send out a small task group to DS13 for collection.

I await your response,

Vice Admiral Collu Zekell
Commanding Officer, 26th Fleet

POST SCRIPT:

On a side note, I believe you should be made aware if you haven't already come to hear the news. Admiral Corris Sprint has taken a leave of absence back to Earth for an undetermined amount of time. Thus, I've taken full command of the 26th Fleet as per orders of Fleet Admiral Jorell Quinn, Starfleet Command. This being so, I would look to meet in the near future. While the 19th Fleet is just on the other side of the wormhole, we do not have the same flowing relationship with they and their commander that we do with you and yours. 26th assets and Task Force Argo have a standing history of valued cooperation, and I believe it could benefit us both to continue to work together, not letting our distance between one another play into effect.

As you know, with recent events and the Alliance pact in place in the Delta Quadrant, it has become clear that we can work with the Klingons and the Romulans, even the Cooperative. However, we must continue to show the Federation that Starfleet is strong and unified. This could very well attest to such.

[ Consider the note on logistics a hook to get us over to DS13 for some RP! ]

RE: Logistic Supply Pick Up

Admiral Zekell,

As always, it is a pleasure to receive word from our allies in the 26th Fleet. Deep Space Thirteen has, indeed, been designated a layover for a shipment bound for The Outback. We are expecting arrival next week, on or about Stardate 91084. When your task group arrives at DS13, we will be prepared for them to take possession of the cargo.

On a personal note, Admiral, I look forward to working with you and your officers in the future. Considering the reduced travel-time afforded by our mutual Transwarp connection, please don't hesitate to contact DS13 for assistance or support, should the need arise.

Captain Neema Perim
Commanding Officer
Deep Space Thirteen
