BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Elizabeth Callahan, from her scant Federation records and what files the Republic will transfer, seems perpetually torn between two worlds.

Her youth was spent in equal measure in upstate New York at the Archer Warp Facility and on the Romulan Jouret IV colony as her parents aided the fledgling settlement. Her Mother used her connections in academia to garner sympathy and aid, and her father, then first officer aboard the U.S.S. Soyuz, used his contacts within Starfleet to provide indirect aid, generally in the form of Reunificationist relief. Elizabeth herself was educated by a series of private, Starfleet, and Romulan tutors, and by all accounts proved an exceptional if somewhat accident prone student.

Prior to the Tal Shiar attacks, the Jouret IV [ecurai-n llaihr.hre] raid in particular, Elizabeth seemed on track to join her mother working with the Archer Institute, having been published twice in her own right by age 18. However, the aftermath of the attacks coupled with the utter devastation of the Jouret IV settlements saw Callahan declared deceased.

It was only months later, after the Khitomer treaties with the Federation and the Klingon Empire, that Elizabeth, now going by her Romulan middle name Lir, came forward. What followed was a decorated career in the Republic, culminating in her service aboard the Warbirds Celeris and D'Ishae within the Federation 38th Fleet, formerly Task Force Argo of Starbase Deep Space 13.

Following her tour of service in the Romulan Republic Star Navy, Elizabeth ultimately applied to the Officer Exchange Program for a full transfer of her duties to Starfleet service. Upon her acceptance she took a posting aboard DS-13, first as a Lieutenant of Engineering, leading to her eventual appointment as Assistant Chief Engineer.
