I suspect that this information will have reached your ears by other means already. It seems unlikely that we will be able to keep this revelation secret for very long, but here is hoping I have at least beat the press release.
Admiral Tuvok just briefed me on the results of a mission to Kartella Prime. Once a defunct mining colony, intelligence had reason to suspect that the Vaadwaur Supremacy leadership was utilizing the area for unknown purposes. A covert ops vessel was prepped and sent into the heart of the Kartella System, delivering a team to the surface facilities.
What they discovered was utterly startling. The caverns below the facility are being utilized as a nesting ground for neural parasites, similar if not completely identical to those involved in the 2364 infiltration of Starfleet Command. The covert team eliminated two Vaadwaur overseers, both being controlled by parasites, and worked with another Vaadwaur commander to uncover and destroy a 'mother' parasite, burrowing in the cavern pools that were chemically favorable to the parasites' biology.
Obviously this intelligence is of monumental importance, though we have not developed any actionable objectives from it just yet. Of note, the Vaadwaur ally we made in the facility elected to stay and begin his own investigations, thus his name has been withheld in this memorandum as a precautionary measure. It is possible that we might be able to count on this Vaadwaur's support in later operations, but for now, we should probably continue on without that assumption.
