HISTORICAL

Born on Alpha Centauri as the only child of Caleb and Alice North. Her early childhood was struck by tragedy as a government oversight resulted in the overloading of a municipal power plant, which destroyed several city blocks' worth of buildings and rendered several additional miles uninhabitable. Alice North was killed in the accident and the family of two relocated to start anew.

Alleya attended public schooling and led a generally uneventful life until her sixteenth year, when her father suffered a debilitating injury as a bystander in a robbery. He died of it two months later. Guardianship then went to farflung relatives who worked in space freighter operations, thus the new orphan picked up a new trade. At twenty-two, Alleya chose to enroll in Starfleet Academy to broaden her horizons.
