SUBJ Demobilization

To All MACO Personnel:

With the Federation now returned to a state of relative peace, Starfleet Elite Joint Operations has given the order to demobilize Military Assault Command Operations units to its previously established peacetime level of deployment.

All currently operating MACO units have been reassigned. Full details of new Team designations and placement are attached to this message. MACO units remaining assigned to the 38th Fleet's area of operations have been allocated to MACO Group 6.

Once reorganization is complete, Team Leaders are hereby ordered to report Team readiness status to the commander of MACO Group 6, Colonel Donavah, on Deep Space 9.

((OOC: The structure of MACOs in Argo is being updated. As stated ICly above, the large-scale MACO units are being disbanded in favor of the small-team structure. In addition to the obvious, this change also causes Argo's MACOs to report to the same NPC Group commander as the MACO Teams in ZEF, to help encourage more cross-fleet interaction, in this area.

To help get things started, the leaders of each of the newly reorganized MACO Team (ideally, ~5 soldiers each) have been asked to report in to COL Donavah, which can be posted in reply to this thread. Each Team will need to choose a Team number (eg. MACO Team 34) to be identified as. Those of you with NPC MACO Teams on your ships are asked to do the same. Please remember, however, that these teams are supposed to be relatively few and far between. Only a handful of ships should be carrying MACO Teams at all.

The guide post has been updated to reflect this change, and is definitely worth a read if you play a MACO or intend to have NPC MACOs aboard your ship. Thanks for your cooperation, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!))

RE Demobilization

Colonel,

Reorganization orders have been received and enacted onboard the USS Damocles. Personnel and excess equipment being transferred to other vessels will depart within the week, once Damocles is rotated off the Terix blockade detail. The newly designated Team 17 (Harris, Blarg, Mara, Woods, T'Than, Burke) is fully equipped, combat-ready, and on stand-by for deployment.

RE Demobilization

Colonel,

Orders are being carried out as I write this aboard USS Avaria. All excess equipment and MACO personnel and preparing for transfer once we return to Deep Space Thirteen, currently we are on assignment.

Of the personnel, two teams designate 087 and 104 will be remaining aboard.

Team 087. McGee, Oviedo, Foster, Murphy and Lorne
Team 104. Ellsworth, Shaddock, Pravdin, Ambrose and Carter

Team 087 are the current fresh boots we have aboard and should be transferring off ship once their final field training assignments are completed, unless otherwise ordered by you.

RE Demobilization

Teams Commanders,

Good job working fast on this reorganization. It’s important that you maintain accountability of equipment through this process. Lean on your 2ICs for this. Failure to keep proper accountability of equipment during peacetime duties does not reflect well on your abilities to keep accountability of people, resources and enemy forces during wartime duties.

I am usually at Deep Space Nine. If you and your team are in the system, I expect you to stop in for a face to face. I trust you to lead very autonomously. I also trust you to check in when you can so that I can get a feel for what you need and better direct my staff to support you.

Also, through this transition, find the time to give your team members a chance to take leave. When this transition is complete, we are going to hit the ground running again.

Be ready for the next one.

RE: Demobilization

Colonel Donavah,

MACO Unit 13 relocated to DS-9 per orders received.
1st Sergeant Trinity MacCarthy TDY to DS-13 as requested per TDY Orders 131-2.

I have arrived at DS-13 and taken up quarters on base. As advised I took a civilian job for my off hours as a bartender. Currently I am seeking out that list of names you gave me to get with some other MACOs. Meanwhile I'll make sure the Captains know I am available for ground ops.

MacCarthy out.

First Sergeant,

Good job. I will pass your not onto the Group Sergeant Major.

Keep your team sharp, requirements can come up fast.

Also, don't let civilian entanglements get in the way of operational needs.

Finally, have your team commander come up on the net when they are capable.
