BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Dmitri Konieczko prior to Starfleet loved to tinker with things, he often would take things apart and at least attempt to put them back together. Seeing how things worked fascinated him, and so did the stars. Starfleet was the obvious choice and with a bit of guidance from his father he enrolled and was accepted into the Starfleet Academy at San Francisco.
When he reached the age of 18 Dmitri was accepted into Starfleet's academy in San Francisco. Going in he focused on what he knew, engineering. He had hoped he could land a position on any of the ships he had heard so much about growing up; and though his passion was there, his brains were not necessarily. He passed his exams and finished middle of his graduating class.
After four years of academy, Dmitri Konieczko was assigned as an ensign crewman to the U.S.S. Abrams. He would spend most of his career there and he loved it. Though uneventful he got to see the stars and how the Abrams worked. After some time, Dmitri was raised to Chief Engineer and Commander aboard the Abrams. He now oversaw personnel and saw a different side of things. He took care of his subordinates and they took care of him.
Shortly after his 37th birthday Dmitri Konieczko was offered a captain's commission and the U.S.S. Vanguard. After a week of consideration with those closest to him he accepted and still commands the vessel. On Stardate 93927.97 Konieczko and the U.S.S. Vanguard transferred to the 38th Fleet 'Argo' based on Deep Space 13 in the Aldebaran sector. In service there he embarked on numerous and incredibly various range of missions.
With his continued service to Starfleet and the 38th fleet, Dmitri earned a posting as Squadron Commander of the fleet's Taurus Squadron on Stardate 92843.3. His role now oversaw other captains and was on the right track to assume a higher command role, something he soon expressed interest in.
On Stardate 93368.5, he married Mathilda Zaldo, now Konieczko in a small service with friends on Deep Space 13. Approximately seven months later more life changes came as Dmitri was appointed the acting executive officer of the 38th Fleet when the then serving Rear Admiral Upper Half Perim was transferred by Starfleet Command to Sol. He took the position and was later raised in grade to Rear Admiral (Lower Half) himself. With the added stress and demand of the position accompanied by the promise of a child his personal life took a sudden turn. His wife returned to her home planet of Eledri Prime to seek medical needs related to an issue with their unborn child's health. Unfortunately the political situation of the system on the border of a civil war led into to complications within their marriage and eventually to a separation which became official just after one year of marriage.
Rear Admiral Konieczko remained at Deep Space 13 and as the executive of the 38th fleet during these trying personal times. Stardate 94152.3 Vice Admiral Iryj Krvhn Commanding the 38th Fleet was given a sudden reassignment therefore placing Rear Admiral Konieczko as the acting Commanding Officer of the 38th fleet. This was a short lived period until then Vice Admiral Neema Perim returned to the 38th Fleet and took role as Commanding Officer. Meanwhile tempers with the Azedi flared up and then dimmed to a point where a potential negotiation conference could be held on Deep Space 13. Vice Admiral Perim was set to oversee the meeting but met an unfortunate poisoning. Dmitri Konieczko oversaw the meeting and subsequent destruction of Deep Space 13. He would assume acting command once again for a period of three weeks as he rallied 38th assets on Deep Space K-7. Vice Admiral Perim would be recalled to Sol in the course of the investigation of Deep Space 13 and offer her immediate resignation. Again, Dmitri Konieczko would find himself as the acting Commanding Officer until Vice Admiral Enzian Amiri came to serve as replacement.
Rear Admiral Konieczko remained the executive of the 38th Fleet serving below Vice Admiral Enzian Amiri for approximately a year. During this time he would receive another promotion to Rear Admiral, Upper Half. Shortly thereafter, Vice Admiral Amiri recommended Rear Admiral Konieczko for the assumption of Command of the 38th fleet.

MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT
Spoiler: Psychological EvaluationShow
Evaluator: Sedai, Katriel Eden
Authority: Psychological Counselor, Deep Space 13
Subject: Konieczko, Dmitri
Stardate: ((05.11.16))
Length of Interview: 1.5 hrs
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.
During interview, authority observed subject to be a highly agreeable officer, his manner primarily accommodating and easygoing, with no evidence of nervousness or anxiety at the upcoming assessment and readily smiling when moved to do so. In terms of his default reactive attitude to external stimuli, he is chiefly proactive and practically hands-on, preferring to get into the thick of things and learn directly, rather than wait for secondhand information. At the same time, subject finds it unacceptable to not have a complete picture of a situation, so is likewise prepared to consult with others before making a difficult decision.
Authority did observe that the subject may have some difficulty in admitting out loud to traits that he perceives as potential shortcomings, even though said traits are quite commonly shared with other officers and are not necessarily shame-worthy, such as struggling to relax. Subject is likely to be internally more pessimistic than what would be assumed considering his comfortable outward manner, especially when it comes to his own capabilities, while his general outlook towards life and the motivations of others trends strongly neutral to barely moderately positive.
