Captain, Upon receiving a distress call, I activated Starfleet Regulation 191, Article 14, and assumed command leading the Hyperion (Hestia), Tyre (Prometheus), Rebellion (Prometheus), Kaguya (Aventine), and the Ananke (Excelsior).
We engaged at warp 8 to respond to the call, and I brought us out of warp nearly on top of the location of the call, where we were greeted by three Orion ships, two Cruisers and one carrier. The Orion ships almost immediately fired upon us, and launched fighters. We were forced to respond with deadly force. During the battle The Hyperion, Trye, and Rebellion all used our MVAM systems, it wasn't long before all three Orion ships were destroyed. Thankfully on our part, casualties were light, as well as damage to our ships. After the distruction of the Orion ships, Hyperion beamed over an away team of Commander Kozath, Commander Keelah and Lt Holliday, they were soon joined by the Kaguya's CO, Captain Hayasaka.
In total, we were able to secure four prisoners, as well as rescue twelve members of the Transport. All Four prisoners are currently being held onboard the Hyperion, once we are able to finish interrogations, we will transport them on board DS13 for Commander Kozath to take custody of them, where they can await arrangements to be transported back to Earth to stand trial for their crimes.

During the rescue operation, I was asked to join the away team aboard the freighter, along with Commanders Kozath, Keelah, and Lieutenant Holliday.
Radiation leaks across the ship were preventing transporter locks, but transporting people inside was possible.
We were beamed into the Engineering section of the freighter, as the Warp Core was threatening to breach. Commander Keelah took care of that threat and stabilized the Warp Core as we started researching the area. Several crewmembers were found dead.
Once the Core stabilized, we progressed through the ship's corridors and mess hall, coming across several injured crewmembers on our way that we were able to triage and transport away using tags.
As we reached the Transporter Room of the freighter, we heard two of the Orion boarders trying to operate the transporter. They were quickly disabled by Commander Kozath, one was taken into custody.
Upon investigating the transporter's console, Commander Keelah was unfortunately injured as that console exploded. Lieutenant Holliday immediately gave her medical attention, but she ultimately had to be transported back to a proper Sickbay.
Further investigation of that console lead to the materialization of one Bolian individual, who somehow managed to survive the assault by hiding in the transporter buffer. She immediately tried to, as we understood, retrieve her co-workers using the transporters. She appeared so focused on that task that retrieving any information from her has proven difficult.
As she realized that the radiation was preventing a transporter lock, she came up with a solution to remove it from the ship, by flooding Engineering with water to contain the leak from the Core, and letting the Environmental Systems filter out the remaining radiation.
Structural integrity of the Freighter would have been proven hazardous for any survivor remaining on the ship if it was to be towed back to DS13, according to Commander Keelah. The Bolian's plan was approved by Commander Kozath and myself and was carried out, allowing for safe transport of survivors and possibly saving more lives than it would have been possible otherwise.
