AAR - Reconnaissance and Salvage Mission

Stardate: 92958.3S.S. Virtue Recon and Salvage OperationReport Submitted: CAPT Burns, D.Classification Level One: Open

Bottom Line Up Front: Freighter seemed a tomb, possibly used as base for Keth and her Jem'Hadar, Keth currently imprisoned on Yorktown.

On Stardate 92958.3, Starfleet personnel of the 38th Fleet 'Argo' on board U.S.S. Asimov and U.S.S. Yorktown proceeded to the location of the S.S. Virtue to assess the vessel's condition and check for any survivors. Upon arriving, I as well as a few others took a pair of shuttles over to the derelict and began to look around. We reached what looked to be the cargo hold shortly after. I went to look for a cargo manifest on a console nearby and inadvertently activated the freighter's 'security' system, which opened up a stasis pod containing a Vorta, later identified as Keth. After a slight altercation between myself and this Keth clone, I was incapacitated by a spherical device that delivered a heavy electric charge to my body.

Following this I went into Cardiac Arrest, and then CMDR Jarnefelt became incapacitated. Shortly after the freighter began to degrade faster than expected and a support beam collapsed on Miss Jarnefelt. Lieutenant Lendaria came to both of our aid. I personally do not remember the next few minutes, though I have been told the rest of the away team argued with the Keth clone while giving me and the Doctor immediate first aid. When I came to, I negotiated with the Vorta to accept being a Federation prisoner aboard the Yorktown until further charge and orders.

Following my regaining of consciousness, I along with the away team, carried doctor Jarnefelt and escorted Keth to the shuttles to be taken to Yorktown and Asimov. The Keth clone is currently in Yorktown's High Security bloc and must be requested by the captain to be seen to alleviate any chances for escape. Furthermore, I request that every member of the away team receive commendation for their valiant acts.
