After Action Report, Stardate 93135.8. Lt. Commander Anthony Russo reporting:
While on duty in Ops with LCDR Jesso and LT Kermit, we detected a small, unmanned vessel approaching the station. After after making contact with the vessel, it identified itself as Drone 5118; sent by the Annatar Aeronautics and Space Administration to retrieve Drone 4811; the same drone that had been recovered by the K-1406 task force.
After confirming their intended mission, we facilitated transfer of the damaged drone 4811 to drone 5118. After it had secured the damaged drone, 5118 requested permission to beam over a "representative" to deliver "payment" for the drove it had recovered. Rather than cause a diplomatic faux pas, we allowed transport of a small, multi-legged drone, which presented us with a small crate, as well as projecting a hologram of a Annatarian who identified himself as Theopany.
Theopany thanked us for the rescue of their drone ship, and identified the contents of the crate as 3 kilograms of Benamite; as compensation for our troubles. He then extended an invitation to us to visit the Annatarian homeworld, which I told him we would pass on to our superiors within the fleet. Once the exchange was completed, the drone returned to Drone 5118, and began it's journey home.
RRW Officer Lettra has taken the crate to security first, to ensure there are no safety concerns before the Science Dept can examine the Benamite in greater detail. Drone's 5118 and 4811 are now on their way back to Annatari.
