 TO 38th/Command CC 2492/Think-tank FROM LCDR Konieczko SUBJ Kilur Kiosk Database Research: Species-2492 |

Commander d'Evreux and myself conducted a research session, interfacing with the previously recovered Kilur Kiosk Database. Asking it a series of questions based on related AARs, the Korlackless Message and information gathered from former Captain Eli Altais, we were able to gather the following results.
The Kilur Hegemony was bordered by and had diplomatic relations of varying degrees with the following governments of that time period: Itrin Hierarchy, the Diaderi Confederacy, the Klingon Empire, the Viggo Sect, the Yuhop Corporatocracy, The Congress of Earthbone, and the Junayd Protectorate States.
When tasked with charting the boundaries of those groups, sans Klingon, the Kiosk provided the following crude chart.
We then had the station's computer system overlay this chart with a current chart from our own database.

The Kiosk informed us that much as they are now, the Yuhop had no sort of FTL capable vessels in the era of the Kiosk's knowledge base. With Altias' information about a wormhole near Yuhop space, we feel it is prudent to send a mission to verify its existence, and determine if it might be part of 2492's travel network. I also believe it might be valuable to travel to the Kilur homeworld to search and recover a more detailed source of data than the Kiosk can offer us, as it was not meant for such refined results as we need.
I believe what the kiosk can offer us is data on the regional languages at the zenith of Kilur society. And these languages could very well help us craft the message to 2492. Further information of this nature might be gleaned from the Kiosk in a crude form, but would likely be held in more sensitive computer systems on Kilur, if any remain accessible.
It's not a lot, but it's more than we had.
