NARRATIVE: Whilst en route to Vulcan - travelling in convoy with RRW Lurret - we intercepted an automated distress signal from the FMS Premium (which a database search informed us was a vessel belonging to 'Dependable Private Services' or DPS). Moving to intercept, we encountered a convoy of several freighters under attack from a force of Orion Syndicate vessels.

After our attempts to communicate with the Syndicate ships failed, we moved to defend the freighters; receiving communication from a KDF ship which advised they had intercepted the signal as well and were moving to assist (as it later transpired; DPS are also known to this particular group within the Empire as much as they ourselves). A firefight ensued with the KDF allies joining the frey upon their arrival.

The Orion vessels fought bitterly and refused repeated challenges to disengage, even after the majority of their fleet was lost. Ultimately; no allied ship suffered heavy losses or damage. One of the freighters was destroyed, but the Valley Forge was able to recover her crew before the core breached and safely return them to the Premium once the fight had subsided.

RECOMMENDATION: RRW Lurret is returning a recovered Corvette and it's crew for processing. Suggest the ships computers are thoroughly searched for pertinent intelligence and that the crew are questioned regarding motives.

SCDR Aivala performed with noteworthy skill beyond expectation at the tactical station during this unplanned exchange. It is this officers opinion that she is deserving of recognition for her efforts, and would make a fine candidate for the exchange programme. Should this come to pass, the Valley Forge would welcome her back on a more permanent assignment.

OOC: This was our first attempt at a dedicated crossover event between Argo and ZP since the merge. We did attempt to accommodate this by implementing the usual turn/roll based system used in ZP events, with mixed results. We thank all who participated for their patience and understanding as this was no small undertaking, but if nothing else we have learned that any future events using said system will state clearly up front in the mission post. If I've unintentionally misrepresented your character's actions, misspelled their names, got their rank incorrect, et cetera, please send me a PM over enjin and I'll make the necessary edits.
