N'Py See@gulremal: FX | After some resupplying at the SB 151, team embarks towards the KDF-aligned mercenary outpost at the border of Ventraxian space. Travel is uneventful and team arrives at the large asteroid base.

N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Multiple KDF and mercenary ships, mostly raiders, are parked around the station. Only bigger ship is the Ascendance, flagship of Marshall Berylia.

N'Py See@gulremal: FX | After you succesfully dock, you arrive at the base command center...

N'Py See@gulremal: *nods at the arrivals* My, you are a welcome sight.

B'Atar@anncarise smirks, "We brought another big ship to play with," she thumbs at Mysti.

Mysti@crystyll beams

N'Py See@gulremal: Good, we'll need all the help we can get. Breen have fallen back for the time being, but their raiders seem tireless.

B'Atar@anncarise: "I heard about this elite squadron they got."

N'Py See@gulremal: *nods towards one of the nearest tables*

Mysti@crystyll shares a glance with the others and follows

N'Py See@gulremal sits in a chair.

Mysti@crystyll sits in the captain's chair.

Alyss@mindquake#2570 sits in the captain's chair.

Alyss@mindquake#2570: Elite hardware, or elite crew?

B'Atar@anncarise sits in a chair.

N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Table has some clean mugs, glasses and assortment of drinks, plus some cookie-like foodstuffs.

N'Py See@gulremal: *to Alyss* Both. So far we know there's at least one wing of them - beefed up version of their new raiders. Or at least we hope so. If that's basic design, we are in for a lot of hurt.

B'Atar@anncarise tries a cookie curiously.

Alyss@mindquake#2570 tries one of the drinks.

Mysti@crystyll can't resist the lure of the cookie

B'Atar@anncarise: "How's a basic bird of prey stack up against them?" she asks as she stuffs herself with another cookie.

N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Cookie is some kind of brownie with tulaberries inside. Alyss can choose between something like apple cider and dark thick beer.

Alyss@mindquake#2570 goes for the cider

N'Py See@gulremal: Well, most of your stock are older refits, and it's not good. These Plesh Trals are more agile and pack heavier punch. Most agree these guys we are fighting are custom made for the elite crews.

Mysti@crystyll: "So what's our game plan?"

N'Py See@gulremal: Let's see - 3 heavy polaron cannons, 3 PD turrets, rapid fire launcher with transpahsic torpedoes, and it can launch nastier toys.

Alyss@mindquake#2570: I want one of THOSE...

N'Py See@gulremal: That's what we managed to grab on sensors. They never stay to fight - they hit their target and run, even if they don't succeed.

B'Atar@anncarise: "Bet we can make short work of them with a squadron of Qo'noS' finest. But the San'leth'll have to do for now."

B'Atar@anncarise: "D14 should be able to match them."

N'Py See@gulremal: They also have some nasty cyberwarfare suites. I wonder how do they manage to maintain such high efficiency so far from their fleet.

Alyss@mindquake#2570: I would like to get a look at their computer systems, look for weaknesses

B'Atar@anncarise looks to Mysti, "But yeah, we're gonna need a plan. Far as I know we've got the only D14 here. Two-thirds of a D14 to be exact..."

Mysti@crystyll chuckles

N'Py See@gulremal: Oh? What happened?

Alyss@mindquake#2570: The Fortune may be a refit, but the web mines might be able to slow their retreat in the right hands.

Alyss@mindquake#2570: My hands not being those hands, I'm afraid. My strength is hacking

Alyss@mindquake#2570: electronic warfare, corrosive nanobot clouds, that kind of thing.

B'Atar@anncarise: "Little run-in with the Breen. Alyss did a good job though, and she still flies like a D14. Actually hits harder if we put everything into weapons and fire forward."

Mysti@crystyll: "I am suspicious of why they cut and run so fast each time they hit..."

Mysti@crystyll: "Sounds like protecting a defensive weakness to me"

Alyss@mindquake#2570: That might mean the ships are designed for hit and run

Alyss@mindquake#2570: possibly higher impact configuration not suitable for an extended fire fight

N'Py See@gulremal: We already tried luring them with transport convoys, but they didn't bite so far. Like they know what convoys we're guarding.

Alyss@mindquake#2570: Limited ordinance, overclocked shields that can't sustain long enough... anything like that

Alyss@mindquake#2570: I also smell a vulnerability cover up

Mysti@crystyll nods, "So we just need to pin them down long enough to exploit it"

Mysti@crystyll: "Now the Thana can take it's share of hits, but even we'll be hard pushed to stave off that firepower for any length of time"

Alyss@mindquake#2570: the web mines might help with that if we can bait them.

Mysti@crystyll: "I like your devious thinking Alyss" she grins

B'Atar@anncarise grins as well, "Aye, good idea."

Alyss@mindquake#2570: I'm a romulan. It's in the blood

Mysti@crystyll: "But how to bait them?" she looks to Berylia, "You said you'd tried but failed with baited traps?"

Alyss@mindquake#2570: but thank you

B'Atar@anncarise: "What do they usually hit?"

N'Py See@gulremal: Yeah, we set up transports with high profile cargo with inadequate guard, capital ships with minimal escort or so.

N'Py See@gulremal: They did hit such targets before - they almost nuked Xvisj's flagship with surprise run.

Mysti@crystyll sits in the captain's chair.

N'Py See@gulremal: They are targeting supply lines and outlying patrols.

Alyss@mindquake#2570: If they have elite crews, they might have an eye for targets that are 'too easy'

N'Py See@gulremal: I agree. It makes setting up an ambush extremely hard.

Alyss@mindquake#2570: that, or they have infiltrated the computer systems, or perhaps even a mole.

Mysti@crystyll: "Could we outfit the bait transports with Alyss' web mines?"

Alyss@mindquake#2570: I might be able to rig something for a limited number of drops, but it was pretty hard to get my own launcher working right.

Alyss@mindquake#2570: Tholian web mine launchers are not something I have a stockpile of on a shelf

Alyss@mindquake#2570: for a really serious net, I would either have to predeploy, and just activate, which means fixed location

Mysti@crystyll: "Of course. Just thinking if the transports can lay the trap, we can afford to send out a more inviting target for them, with our fleet on standby out of range"

Alyss@mindquake#2570: or the Fortune would have to be present, whether I'm pulling the trigger or not

B'Atar@anncarise: "But if they got insider information, they'll know anyways it's a trap..."

Mysti@crystyll: "True..."

Alyss@mindquake#2570: I _DO_ have some more of the breen energy draining ship weapons, but that's hit or miss against the breen because they know the tech and how to work around it better than we do

B'Atar@anncarise: "I'm guessing all the previous traps used stealth escorts, or did they just see our numbers and decide not to atack?"

N'Py See@gulremal: We've been monitoring the communications - and Ventraxi military is keeping quite a lid on any non-military comms.

N'Py See@gulremal: No, we've always kept visible escorts - mostly merc raiders or ventraxian frigates.

B'Atar@anncarise: "Maybe that's why they avoided it. If we stay hidden, that should help."

Alyss@mindquake#2570 sits in the captain's chair.

Mysti@crystyll: "Makes sense" she nods

Alyss@mindquake#2570: Might be time to prioritize getting my little toy installed on the Thani...

N'Py See@gulremal: They know we have stealth ships. If we sent completely "undefended" convoy, they'd definitely know something is up.

Mysti@crystyll: "Well the Thana does not have a cloak like our KDF friends do. Perhaps we could serve as the visible escort while the rest remain unseen?"

Alyss@mindquake#2570: We need to put the work into changing that.

N'Py See@gulremal: We can always try. It's not that we have many options.

Alyss@mindquake#2570: I would suggest we send another escort

Alyss@mindquake#2570: send a more obvious bait patrol.

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: one that looks too tempting

Kodon@Nitroglycerin steps up to the table.

Egzo@HF_Mudd does also.

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: get an escort that everyone knows is working with that convoy...

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: change the orders once they're under way and redirect them.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | We are on mercenary base near the Ventraxian space, discussing how to deal with Breen elite "Icepick" squadron.

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: that way if they have someone on the inside, they will think the troops are there for the fake bait.

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: "Sounds reasonable. And yes Alyss, we really do need to see to that!" she chuckles

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: *turns to newcomers* And the males finally arrive.

Mysti@crystyll grins

B'Atar@anncarise chuckles.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: *nods to Egzo, then turns to Kodon* You are a new face.

[Local] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: "Forgive me for keeping you! I had to find something worth drinking while discussing strategy." He swishes around a suspicious-looking dark green liquid in his mug.

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: "Where did you find that?"

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: Metaphorically speaking, of course. You look like you've been through a fair bit of fighting.

Kodon@Nitroglycerin grins, "I am Kodon! Son of Graz! Commander of Starbase 151!"

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | There's some brownie-like cookies, dark ale and some cider on the table.

Mysti@crystyll is still nibbling cookies

B'Atar@anncarise is eating cookies whole.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: Marshall Berylia, head of the Fireblade Clan.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "She's... pretty tough."

Egzo@HF_Mudd reaches in to grab some of that ale for himself.

Kodon@Nitroglycerin pounds his chest in the traditional Klingon salute. "Good! We need tough allies. It will be a tough fight!"

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Some commotion comes from the main OPS area as operators start poking at computers...

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: OPS 1: What's going on?

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: OPS 2: *pokes at the console* This can't be ri- INCOMING!

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Base shakes as it's hit by something...

[Local] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: "WHAT! An ambush!?"

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: How sophisticated is the EW suite on this base?

B'Atar@anncarise stands, "Looks like the action's coming to us."

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Alarms start blaring as lighting changes, more explosions rock the station.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: OPS 2: How's this possible? We should have see-

Kodon@Nitroglycerin scans the environment alertly.

Mysti@crystyll frowns as it makes her break her cookie and pour crumbs all down herself, "Awww...."

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: OPS 1: Multiple breen contacts incoming from the asteroid field!

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: "All the ships here operational?"

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: OPS 3: They are targeting docked ships! Our minefields and outer defense turrets are inoperative!

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: "Well we were just postulating the benefit of a surpise attack. Would've been nice to be on the other end of it though..."

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: =C= Alyss to the fortune. Beam me up. We have defenses to reactivate.

Mysti@crystyll taps her wristcomp, "Thana Vaneri - Mysti - cut loose beam me back. Show time!"

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: With luck, I can have the minefields back up before they run.

[Local] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: "Well let's not stay bent over for them! To your ships! We'll make them regret this attack!"

Egzo@HF_Mudd speaks into his wristcomm. "Hag'lhr, you better already be gettin' ready to beam me up and cast off."

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: *taps her wrist-comms* You need to get to your ships! Ascendance will need some time to get fully online!

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: and they'll run... right into them

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: | (C) Matter of fact...

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: =C= Energize

Egzo@HF_Mudd disappears in a column of transporter shimmer.

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: "Aye, let's get going!" she taps her communicator as well.

Kodon@Nitroglycerin pulls out his communicator, "Hor'Cha! Beam up now!"

Egzo@HF_Mudd circles his command chair and drops into it as Hag'lhr pulls away from the station, shimmering into invisibility. "Report."

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Team beams onto their respective ships just in the nick of time. Their ships were still on standby and they managed to scramble quickly.

Mysti@crystyll 's holo appears as she slinks into her seat on the Thana's bridge, still overly focused on activity there than here as the ship moves out

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | As they leave the outside docking frames, they get a good survey of carnage. Multiple breen raiders - new beefed up Pleash Tral raiders, fly around with surprising speed and precision as they -

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: - polaron bolts and transphasic torpedoes at unsuspecting ships. One B'rolth BoP from House of Kriton gets shot by multiple polaron bolts in the engine section and blows up while still in mooring.

B'Atar@anncarise 's holo pops into view as well, "Yeah...this was not the ambush we planned..."

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Nausicaan merc Scourge raider manages to undock but gets shot by focus fire from two enemy raiders.

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: "San'leth weapons are online and at full power. Time to use the Breen's toys against them."

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Quick sensor sweep shows 4 breen raiders. Last one is shooting at "defenseless" Berylia's battleship, but its heavy armor plating makes it a hard target.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- B'atar's action --

Egzo@HF_Mudd | Kem, Egzo's first officer, gives him the sitrep. "Got four of those new raiders, and they're shootin' the base apart, along with anyone who was too slow castin' off."

Egzo@HF_Mudd grumbles, taking the moment to toss back that ale he grabbed earlier.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "I hate Breen."

B'Atar@anncarise lets them shoot the battleship first as it can take a few hits and San'leth chases after one of the other raiders instead, cannons blazing.

[Emotes] B'Atar@anncarise: rolls 35 (1-100)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | B'atar notices it's hard to get a proper target lock - enemy ships seem to be scrambling sensors. San'leth shots miss the enemy ship just barely-

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Alyss's action --

Alyss@mindquake#2570 heads toward the perimeter minefield, trying to reactivate the mines

B'Atar@anncarise growls, "They got some kind of anti-weapons lock tech. Anything we can do about that?"

[Emotes] Alyss@mindquake#2570: rolls 24 (1-100)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | So far, mines and turrets atay as they were - inactive.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Kodon's action --

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: This is bad, and could get worse before I can make it better

Kodon@Nitroglycerin answers B'Atar over comms, "Use manual targeting, don't rely on sensors!" Then to his bridge crew: "Bring us about! All weapons to me!"

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SyyZPstIhc&list=PL35684101621E4945 )

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: "In that case, I'll take the gun!" she motions to someone off-screen to give her the targetting controls.

[Local] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: *a periscope drops down from the ceiling of the Hor'Cha's bridge, and Kodon locks his hands onto it. The Hor'Cha brakes hard and whips around to face one of the raiders, causing the crew to grab onto

[Local] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: > whatever is nearby to keep their feet! Kodon takes aim from the periscope and fires disruptors!*

[Emotes] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: rolls 59 (1-100)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Hor'Cha flies head on at one of the raider, it only grazes it's shields but forces it off the attack vector that would completely finish off damaged Somraw raptor in the dock.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Egzo's action --

Egzo@HF_Mudd orders his flyer to try to get on the tail of one of the darting raiders before decloaking and opening fire. Surprise is his best advantage here, and he intends not to waste it.

[Emotes] Egzo@HF_Mudd: rolls 68 (1-100)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Egzo was sure his shots would catch the enemy square on, but their pilot must have a sixth sense as it veers off from the trajectory after first bolt hits the shields. It is too forced to stop -

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: - finishing off another damaged ship.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Mysti's action --

Egzo@HF_Mudd clenches a fist in frustration. "HELLS these things are fast. And agile. Can't keep 'em in my sights!"

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: (current spread of the action?)

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: Might be time to start dropping mines?

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: give them more to dodge.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | B'atar, Egzo, Kodon have engaged 3 enemy raiders, one is left that's attacking the alarian battleship.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Alyss has moved a bit away from the main fight, trying to regain control of the minefields.

Mysti@crystyll FX | Thana bears down on the remaining raider with forward cannons blazing while both Interceptor squadrons flood out left and right, focusing the same target from all directions

[Emotes] Mysti@crystyll: rolls 75 (1-100)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Breen raider does a barrel roll, evading the fire as it moves behind the hulk of the alarin vessel.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: ** OOC: I am taking your skills into consideration. use them wisely

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Raider One uses its powerful thrusters to turn on the spot, keeping it's momentum for a second as it fires it's front cannons at San'leth. Couple of bolts manage to hit the shields, dropping them to 60%.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: San'leth, I'm on your target. Let's try to bracket him, box him in.

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: Do you need me to stop working on the mines and start working on their EW?

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Raider Two turns around at the Hor'Cha with surprising agility and fires a spread of transphasic torpedos. While no direct hits are scored, one manages to bypass the shield and explode at close -

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: "Good plan!"

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: - range, damaging port wing.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Raider Three breaks off from Hag'lhr and fires a big torpedo at Thana Vaneri. Torpedo hits the shields and releases a focused charge perticle bursts that washes over the vessel, randomly crippling

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -its systems and disabling some of the launched fighters.

Mysti@crystyll 's holo flickers and fades briefly from the power drain until auxiliaries kick and she reappears verbally demonstrating for all that she is anything but highborn...

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Raider Four emerges from the other side of the alarian battleship and drops a swathe of transphasic mines across its hull...explosions rock the mighty vessel, doing some damage...

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- B'atar's action --

B'Atar@anncarise doesn't break away, manually taking aim and firing the polaron beams on her Breen wing as the raider comes directly at her...

[Emotes] B'Atar@anncarise: rolls 99 (1-100)

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: (C) "Egzo you better be behind it to finish it off..."

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | San'leth keeps locked at the enemy ship, taking its front shields out completely and disabling one of its main cannons!

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Egzo's action (Alyss will go immediately after) --

Egzo@HF_Mudd does his best to follow up on the opening that B'Atar has given him.

[Emotes] Egzo@HF_Mudd: rolls 30 (1-100)

[Emotes] Egzo@HF_Mudd: rolls 40 (1-100)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Hag'lhr joins on San'leth's wing and opens fire, managing to sneak in one disprutor bolt into it's front side, taking out it's torpedo launcher and damaging it's deflectors.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Alyss' action --

Alyss@mindquake#2570 analyzes the targeting distruption patterns, trying to find a way to use the shape of the disruption field as a beacon to aim for.

B'Atar@anncarise smirks, (C) "Aww, leaving the kill for me?"

[Emotes] Alyss@mindquake#2570: rolls 51 (1-100)

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: =c= knock yourself out... or better yet, knock out the breen.

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: =c= sending the location of the EW ship that's doing all the hacking... do you want me to pursue, or someone else want to blow it up?

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: ((Random DC!))

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Kodon's action --

Kodon@Nitroglycerin remains resolute as the bridge shudders from the torpedo barrage, "Today is a good day to die!" he shouts, letting loose an onslaught of disruptor fire at the raider the Hor'Cha is facing off with.

[Emotes] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: rolls 11 (1-100)

[Emotes] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: rolls 81 (1-100)

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: (( nice. ))

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Hor'Cha doesn't budge and pushes forward, surprising enemy enough to get a couple of shots in, dropping enemy shields to 50%.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Mysti's action --

Mysti@crystyll FX | Thana decompresses a cargobay to lurch it out the way of any follup attack while remaining Interceptors swarm tight around it's raider to prevent target locks. Thana meanwhile trails debris in +

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: it's wake, which lights up from a sudden discharge out her nacelles as the power drain is directed along a false signal loop through the ejected debris

[Emotes] Mysti@crystyll: rolls 3 (1-100)

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: ...

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: (rerolls all around!)

[Emotes] Mysti@crystyll: rolls 51 (1-100)

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: (( much better. ))

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: (phew!)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Using an old Orion trick, Thana manages to shake off most of the disabling attack, reestablishing its sensors, engines and shields.

Mysti@crystyll orders emergency power to reinforce shields while engines kept at minimum for manouvering

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: doesn't need to move as long as her babies (Interceptors) can dance xD

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Raider One, seeing they are outpowered, turns on it's axis again, shunting all it's available power to engines as it quickly disengages from combat, deftly maneuvering into the surrounding -

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: - asteroid field.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Remaining 3 raiders fall suit, going all evasive while boosting their engines and gunning for the field, everyone in different direction.

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: (am I close enough to their EW vessel to reach it in one round?

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Alyss would notice that 5th vessel is also in retreat, dropping some mines in it's wake.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- B'atar's action --

B'Atar@anncarise chases after one of the raiders, manually targeting it with polaron beams. If successful, she would unleash a torpedo in the beam's wake, using the pink lines as a targeting trail.

[Emotes] B'Atar@anncarise: rolls 14 (1-100)

[Emotes] B'Atar@anncarise: rolls 98 (1-100)

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: (Much better!)

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: (Love the rerolls today)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | B'atar is relentless! San'leth charges after the fleeing enemy, paints i's aft with couple diruptor bolts as it fires salvo of high yield photon torpedoes!

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Enemy evades first and second projectile, bul last one hits it square in one of the wing, blowing it up and veering the vessel straight into the nearby asteroid.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Enemy raider detonates spectacularly.

[Emotes] Mysti@crystyll: Hooray!

Mysti@crystyll lets out a cheer!

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Egzo's action --

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: (C) Nice.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: (C) Alyss, need any help with their jammer?

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: If we can stop the EW craft, we can get a gold mine of info\

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: *shares the targeting data including mine area*

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: (C) Right. On my way.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: | Hag'lhr re-cloaks as he comes about, heading for the other side of the battlespace.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Alyss' action --

Alyss@mindquake#2570 growls, breaking off to combat the worm, directing the people on the base to physically shut down as many weapons as possible as she hacks

[Emotes] Alyss@mindquake#2570: rolls 16 (1-100)

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: (reroll)

[Emotes] Alyss@mindquake#2570: rolls 94 (1-100)

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: (daang)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Alyss' 1337 h4XX0r skillz make a short work of the invasive program, boxing it into secure dataport to dissect it for later.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Base OPS is resetting command codes and re-starting defense systems...

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Kodon's action --

[Local] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: FX - The Hor'Cha gives chase after the raider it has been exchanging fire with, firing a spray of disruptors followed up by a torpedo spread.

[Emotes] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: rolls 4 (1-100)

[Local] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: ((ouch))

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Hor'cha moves in for a kill, but damage to the wing must have been bigger than previously thought as unexpected power surge takes all weapons offline!

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: -- Mysti's action --

Mysti@crystyll FX | Thana's Interceptor's relentlessly continue to swarm their raider. If Thana was able to get weapons back then a torp spread goes down the raiders tailpipe too

[Emotes] Mysti@crystyll: rolls 69 (1-100)

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Officer confirms it will take them a bit to reset weapon systems to get them working. Interceptors try to keep up with retreating raider, but they are losing ground to enemy's superior piloting-

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: - and engines.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Remaining enemy raiders disappear deeper into the asteroid field, out of effective sensor range.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: =C= Base OPS here, all sensors clear. Dispatching engineering crews for damage control.

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: "Well that was fun..." she grumbles, clearly not happy at being wiped with such a cheap tactic

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Alarian battleship establishes comms, Berylia appears on screen, some smoke and fire and sparks seen in the background as alarian crewmen work to suppress it.

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: =C= What a mess. Our sensors are out, but we don't sense any hostiles anymore.

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: =c= I hate to say this, but I'm going to need dibs on the wreckage that we have from them.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: (C) Do we still have a fix on their EW ship, or did that pull back with the rest?

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: It got away.

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: (C) "I don't think anything's left to salvage..."

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: =c= Damn! That will make it harder to prepare for their next strike.

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: (C) "Yeah...might've hit them too hard. Or maybe they're designed to go out that way to prevent us from getting data on them."

[Local] B'Atar@anncarise: (C) "Least we got one though. That'll hurt their pride if nothing else."

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: =c= Their EW is good... I couldn't get the mine net back up in time

[Local] Mysti@crystyll: (C) "They got balls too, pulling a stunt like this with so many of our forces standing by here"

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: =Berylia= Well, you did more than anyone here so far. This is a start. But we'll have to hobble back to your main base to fix this damage...

[Local] Kodon@Nitroglycerin: (C) "They claimed two of our ships for one of theirs. The Breen came out on top of this exchange."

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: =c= at least they left enough data to shore up the security holes... maybe even leave our own trap... I might be able to make it LOOK like they disable things next time.

[Local] Alyss@mindquake#2570: =c= then flick a switch and surprise, all back online.

Mysti@crystyll grumbles again, "Could've done with one those switches before..."

[Local] N'Py See@gulremal: FX | Quick survey would show that 5 vessels were destroyed before you managed to stop enemy rampage. Three more ships are damaged and will be out of combat for a while.

Egzo@HF_Mudd repeats, to no one in particular, "I hate Breen."
