LOCATION: DS13 Science labs

MISSION: Refine scan data collected during USS Endeavour distress call.

OUTCOME: Success, list of potential systems greatly reduced.

NARRATIVE: During our response to the Endeavour distress call I was able to record the warp trails of the unknown ship that had taken Captain Bishop, although the trails were faint at best I brought them to DS13 science labs for help in analysing the data.

As a result of this analysis we were able to go from possible 50 star systems down to 3 potential planets, all located in the Alpha 7190 sector and its adjacent unexplored sector:

POI-1: Class-M planet with carbon based lifeforms present, is about half the size and has a gravity of 0.6x when compared to Earth

POI-2: Class-O Ocean planet, Carbon based life present. Suitable atmosphere for humanoid life. Surface is roughly 90% water.

POI-3: Second Class-M planet very similar to POI-1, roughly equivalent size and gravity to Earth.

There were also two other planets identified as possible destinations that were quickly ruled out, I have written them here for completion, and in case Command believes they are also worth checking:

POI-4: Class-Y planet, No detectable lifeforms present, atmosphere deadly to humanoid life. Surface temperatures exceed 500 Kelvin.

POI-5: Class-H planet, Silicon based lifeforms. Atmosphere unsuitable to humanoid life without the use of EV suits.

Special commendation should be given to LCDRs K. Verlin and S. al Firawn, without whose scientific knowledge I would still have a list comprising several dozen possible systems. They were able to make the most of what limited information I was able to obtain at the time and as a result brought us closer to rescuing the Captain than I would've been able to on my own.

RECOMMENDATION: Ships be sent out to each of the three planets for reconnaissance to determine which planet Captain Bishop is being held. Ship captains should also be informed of the possibility of cloaked vessels being present and to take appropriate care due to this

OOC: This is an AAR for a mini RP that happened the previous night, but given the relevance to ongoing plots I was asked to write an AAR for it.
