SUBJ Command Guidance Reminder - Species 2492
AKas0II.png

ALLCON;

You are no doubt all aware of the incursion into our fleet space by Starfleet Unidentified Species 2492 that took place on Stardate 94147.3 in which several wormholes were opened around Deep Space 13 and five civilian vessels were taken from our space. This was precursed by a triangular probe transmitting a warning communication while at the same time a long range communication was received. Hidden in this long range communication was a datapacket that caused numerous problems for Deep Space 13 and the previous destruction of the U.S.S. Gainsborough. The datapacket received is being leaned towards the cause of several power and system disruptions.

While command weighs all options and means of conducting them, officers are reminded that if they encounter a ship of Species 2492 design they are advised not to attempt contact and to withdraw immediately.

Vessels travelling through space or systems, aside from V774 Tau that are known to have been to a position of Species 2492 presence are to do so at yellow alert or a modified yellow alert status. This status is to remain in effect until you have safely left the area.

Should vessels come across an opening wormhole, they are reminded of the work done by DS13's engineering and science departments and their 'Project Teleraptor' wormhole research and the resulting success of utilizing a phase-conjugate graviton beam from a ship's deflector array to close these wormholes. While this has not been field tested, it has had success with artificial wormholes.

Stay safe, and be prepared for further command guidance.
