During our staff meeting, the status of the 2492 communications was updated by DS13's Chief of Engineering.

So far, the Computer Services division has determined that the sample that attacked DS13 is distinctly separate from the one that ended the Gainsborough. Commander Sivath elaborated that they believe that 2492 utilizes specialized software for "targeted, intelligent strikes". Furthermore, they believe that the malware DS13 was inflicted with was specifically designed to take control of the station's particle emitters to assist in taking both our civilian craft and destroying the drone warning of their arrival.

I'm sending this in advance of an official report due to the potential importance of this information.

Commander Hanson, Chief of Ops, has also informed me that their reset of DS13's systems is resolved. Though we're looking at potentially distinct codes for each operation, I have requested she and her department make the process used to reverse the damage available to ship captains that might request it, pending of course your approval.

Additionally, we continue to utilize Project Teleraptor resources to outfit DS13 with anti-2492 measures.

Captain Thiessen,

You have approval to move forward with making the reversal process available to the fleet. Command will be awaiting the official report.

Thank you, Sir. I have contacted all starship commanders instructing them to reach out to our Ops department to obtain the data. Due to the nature I found this to probably be a more secure choice.
