BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Hannah grew up for the first part of her life on a farm in middleofnowhereville, Mississippi. Her father at the time was stationed at the MACO Training facility on Titan as an Instructor, she had minimal physical contact with him during his tenure on Titan keeping in touch through video-calls and letters. Her father was then stationed aboard the USS Invincible, leading to even longer periods of no/minimal contact with him. Her mothers family had a big influence on her early life, she developed an extremely close relationship with her grandfather, with whom she'd frequently go out into the fields after returning from school. At the time she had an earning desire to become an Agriculturist like her Grandparents and many generations before them. When she was 10 years old her father was stationed on Deep Space 17, and for the first time her mother moved with her and her sister to be with him there.
Hannah was not too excited at the move, very against it in fact. To her Mississippi was home and her grandparents were her family, she couldn't see why she'd ever want to move ever in her life ever. After a few months however, she managed to acclimatize to Starbase living and while still deeply missing her home and family she did not hate it as much anymore. She also was at least happy she got to see her father frequently. She began to explore the areas of Starfleet and MACO more at this time as well, being thrust into it all headfirst. Some of the people in her class having not ever lived planetside even. When she was 12 years old her father came home from an extended operation, one of his team members had died - the resulting conversation that he had with her spurred her on to want to become a member of Starfleet.
Unfortunately when Hannah was 14, her father was severely wounded during an mission. His injuries lead to him losing both of his legs and led to his honorable discharge from MACO. The family resettled near Elwood, Nebraska with her father training to become an agriculturist there. Hannah again objected to the area they were going, arguing they could return to Mississippi and that she didn't want to start high school in a place completely strange. Her qualms went unheard however. Nebraska is not known as the most peachy time of Hannah's life, her father developed PTSD, he took little interest in Hannah their relationship becoming deeply fractured. Hannah ended up developing a rebellious streak, after a while it seemed like no-matter what corner she turned she could not get into trouble. Rumors have even been spread she became promiscuous during her final two years of high school, garnering her teachers and school counsellor's concern and attention. In her Senior Year she finally let everything out to one of her teachers, the school system and United Earth Social Services quickly became involved at home. Her father received the help she needed, a counsellor was assigned to her and redirected her focus onto her application to Starfleet Academy.
Although still showing signs of her rebelliousness, focusing on getting into the Academy was what Hannah needed, despite everything she still managed to pull above average grades and the correct references from her teachers with great help from her counsellor. She gained admittance into the Academy, entering in fall 2406. The Academy helped straighten Hannah out more than anything, she focused on her studies and became something of a try-hard at every class and activity that was assigned to her. She also found relief from her troubles in sports getting involved in numerous numerous at the academy including: Volleyball, Baseball, Rock-Climbing, Track-Athletics and Shooting. While she still had her moments in the Academy, there was an overall marked improvement. She grew distant from her mother and father however, opting to spend most of her vacation periods with her grandparents in Mississippi. She also managed to find a stable relationship across this period, providing love that she hadn't felt so strongly in a long time. While her Academy years were still not "the best years of your life" as some others may say, they were a marked improvement in the right direction for her allowing her to find herself and her purpose.
