Officers and Crew of DS13,
As you know, K-7 is not equipped to handle the number of personnel currently residing here. Many of you are sharing quarters or staying in cargo bays, or borrowing space aboard fleet vessels. Obviously this isn't a long-term solution. To rectify this, and to move us forward, the following reassignments are effective immediately:
Captain Tau Thiessen, you are requested and required to assume command of the U.S.S. Atlantis, NCC-92381. Your complement of 750 officers and crew is to be selected from the DS13 roster excluding personnel who have received other assignments in this message. You will report to Captain Quint as part of Taurus Squadron.
Commander Alina Mandra, you are requested and required to assume command of the U.S.S. Asimov, NCC-72455. Your complement of 80 officers and crew is to be selected from the DS13 roster excluding personnel who have received other assignments in this message, or those selected by Captain Thiessen. You are advised to prioritize your crew selection based on a science-heavy mission profile. You will report to Captain Desimone as part of Aries Squadron.
Commander Rose Hanson, you will remain Acting Executive Officer of Deep Space 13 and will report directly to VADM Perim, Commanding.
Lieutenant Commander Sakkhet will serve as Acting Chief of Operations of Deep Space 13, and will manage a staff of 500.
Commander Juulla s'Vesta will serve as Acting Chief of Security of Deep Space 13, and will manage a staff of 485.
Commander T'Press will remain Chief Intelligence Officer of Deep Space 13, and will manage a staff of 35.
Lieutenant Commander Elizabeth Kermit will remain Chief Engineer of Deep Space 13, and will manage a staff of 2,000.
Commander Keri Verlin will serve as Acting Chief Science Officer of Deep Space 13, and will manage a staff of 20.
Lieutenant Commander Graham Beckett will serve as Acting Chief Medical Officer of Deep Space 13 and will manage a staff of 800.
Lieutenant Commander Katriel Sedai will remain Chief of Counseling of Deep Space 13 and will manage a staff of 160.
All personnel who are not selected to serve on Atlantis, Asimov, or the DS13 skeleton crew will receive individual transfer orders within the week.
