NARRATIVE: The USS Akagi departed from K-7 to DS13 to help inspect and clean up the science labs if needed, as assignments were handed out, I, Captain Nimitz, personally volunteered for what was supposed to be checking on one carnivorous plant, arming myself with a hand phaser and a starfleet issued machete before beaming over to the station.
Upon arrival, the teams set out to carry out their tasks, myself, Commanders zh'Lindresko and al Firawn went to check on the plant. As soon as the door opened, we were ambushed by flying razor darts, Commander zh'Lindresko was hit, and a vine grabbed Commander al Firawn and dragged him into the vine covered science lab. Commander zh'Lindresko and myself entered the lab to try and get him back. Commander al Firawn told us that he had encountered the razor plant once before and told us how to tame it, at which point we began working on the pheromone. It was not much longer until Commander al Firawn had found the main carnivorous plant we set out to find, it seems that the two plants were working together to find food.
As the work on the pheromone drew to an end, the razor plant began setting its vines upon us as Commander al Firawn had stopped reporting in and had disappeared from sight. Once the pheromone was ready, Commander zh'Lindresko and I made our way though the lab, using both the pheromone and my machete to neutralized the vines that were attacking us. Once we arrived, we found that the carnivorous plant had in fact began ingesting Commander al Firawn. At this point we used the machete to cut the commander free, and killed the carnivorous plant. The razor plant was trimmed down in size as well to the point where it was harmless and contained, for further safety, the razor plant is now being held under heavy guard onboard the Akagi.
After all the other teams finished their assignments, we departed DS13 on the Akagi and returned to K-7, minus the engineering teams we dropped off under the watch of Lt Commander Suvik.
RECOMMENDATION: I do recommend that Deep Space 13 not host deadly plants again in the future.
