2-20-13 State of the Fleet

By order of Starfleet Command, effective Stardate 89139.0 (see also: immediately) the command of Task Force Argo is entrusted to Commodore Randall Ashworth. Two hours after his arrival, a meeting of all station department heads was called during which Commodore Ashworth made his brief introduction and provided the following information for dissemination to the fleet.

As no clear evidence has been found to contradict Commodore R'zo-vek's own stated reasons for abandoning his post, Starfleet Command considers the investigation into his defection concluded. Due to the classified and highly sensitive knowledge of Starfleet's inner workings afforded to officers of Commodore R'zo-vek's rank, he is considered a threat to Federation security and to be treated with all due severity. He is currently ranked #18 on Starfleet's most wanted. Offers of rewards for information on his whereabouts are already being circulated through civilian channels. Failing capture, Starfleet Command has authorized the use of lethal force.

Information pertaining to his movements since his escape from Outpost Argo is provided, including his vigilantism against Nausicaan pirates in the Celes Nebula, tracking of the stolen Nausicaan vessel to a used starship dealer in the Kassae Sector, his sighting at a civilian trading post, and his subsequent pursuit by and escape from the U.S.S. Mauritius - including his use of the Omega Directive to disable the pursuing vessel - in the Xarantine Sector. Based on this contradiction to his stated destination
(this has him moving -away- from the Delta Quadrant instead of towards it) Command believes he may be encountering difficulty circumventing Romulan Empire border security. Officers familiar with Commodore R'zo-vek's personality and behaviour are asked to discuss this information and compile a list of possible destinations he may be planning to visit.

In closing, Commodore Ashworth had these words for the officers of Task Force Argo:

"I recognize that this is a difficult time for all of you. The actions of Commodore R'zo-vek have thrown your longstanding faith and beliefs into question. I recognize that there remains those individuals, inside this room and without, who do not hold a shred of doubt that he is out there on some secret mission to which we are not being made privy of, and I respect that. Our orders, however, are clear, and I intend to see them carried out. Starfleet Command is adamant that Commodore R'zo-vek is acting without orders and must be detained for the safety of this fleet and the security of the Federation. At the same time, our duty remains to oppose the advancement of, and ultimately repel, the Klingon Defense Force in the Donatu and Archanis Sectors. In order to accomplish these goals I will require the complete cooperation of everyone in this fleet. I recognize that I have some very large shoes to fill, but if you will permit me the chance, I promise to do everything within my power to lead this fleet back to the prestige it once held within the ranks of Starfleet."

(Unsure if i'm allowed to do this but If I might add Emma's own thoughts)
Emma would stand in the hall to listen to Commodore Randall's speech listening about R'zo-vek. "As much as I feel sympathetic to those of Argo... Getting R'zo-vek would mean a step closer to achieving that peace I so wish for in the future... " she thought as she continued to listen "...Should get Keblon to start gathering information"
