Report regarding suspicious activity!

*From the logs of captain Lyspha*

Upon the advice of a fellow captain, I have made this report on the character known as 'Wimble' A fairly unknown alien that had supposedly arrived on the station through a Romulan vessel. The creature was detained attempting to send a signal to unknown receiver

I recalled that I had seen the creature described to me the day before on the engineering level the base, accessing consoles, a fairly innocent act in itself. So I payed no heed to it. However upon further inspection it appears she had been accessing some detailed station schematics, and the schematics of several vessels docked with the station.

It is possible that the creature had attempted to send these schematics to what she described as her 'Masters'

She has been detained for further questioning.
To: Argo Command
Subject: Prisoner 004 - Wimble

The being known as Wimble is currently in the Brig. I was sitting on Deck 10 'Tactical' when I heard Petty Officer Foster shout at someone/something. I rose to find Wimble at a tactical transmission station. After cutting power to that section of the deck, I ordered Petty Officer Foster to escort Wimble to the Brig. Shortly after, I questioned her with Commander Faerith of the Romulan Republic as witness.

Wimble stated that she was working for her 'masters' and that this was not Commander Saren, who is her Commanding Officer. Under further questioning she revealed that the 'Master's' are on her homeworld, and that officers in the Romulan Republic may know where it is.

I recommend we detain Commander Saren and Commander Faerith fir questioning, along with asking New Romulus Command for any information regarding Wimble.

To: Argo Security.
Subject: Wimble.

22:14 Zulu time. Station sensors recorded an increase in transmissions from the Tactical Deck. As the nearest science officer on duty, I attempted to locate the source and identify them.

22:17. I notified operations of my intent to trace the source using a hand-held Tricorder device.

22.19. Transmission was confirmed as unauthorised and location was determined to be Terminal #6118 in the Combat Information Center (CIC) on the Tactical Deck.

22:22. I approached and challenged the being later identified as "Wimble".

22.28. I was instructed by Captain Davenport to be prepared to restrain the humanoid stating; "Considering the security breach regarding the President, we cannot afford further breaches."

22.30. Power to the terminal was disconnected. Interrupting the transmission.

22.31. Under the instructions of Captain Davenport, I escorted Wimble to the Brig.

22.37. Wimble was placed in a secure holding cell, ending my involvement.

22.38 to 22.45. I conversed with Captain Davenport and Commander Faerith until dismissed.

23.00 I stood down as my watch had ended.

Report filed 06:00 hrs Zulu time the following morning.

Following the escorting of the creature known as Wimble to the brig, it was clear that an interrogation was soon to be carried out. Those on hand were the telepath calling herself Echo, and Captain Coby Morton. their interrogation brought out the following information.

Firstly it was established that Wimble meant no harm to the station, or to starfleet personnel. And was horrified to discover that her actions may have put the station in danger.

Secondly it was established that Wimble came from a pre-warp civilization, and was attempting to show the station and starship shematics to those on her home world in order to advance their society.

As a telepath Echo was able to affirm with a strong degree of certainty that Wimble had no other motives for her actions.

The following actions were taken to secure the station.

Wimble's computer access privileges have been restricted in order to prevent further intrusions.

The diplomatic corps is arranging to send very early warp core models to Wimble's home world by recommendation of captain Echo, as the species is already warp aware, and has access to warp technology through the romulans this would not be classed as an act of interference.

Wimble has been temporarily restricted to quarters, but will be promptly returned to active duty.
