Born to Tarhim Johallan and Tarhim Allessa on Bajor in 2349, a young Halmese spent his childhood living under Cardassian occupation on Bajor. when the Cardassians withdrew and the Federation stepped in, a young Halmese was instrumental in negotiating reconstruction contracts with off world builders. Through the years of reconstruction, Tarhim Halmese made billions of energy credits working and negotiating the contracts. In 2399 he retired, bestowed on himself the un-Bajoran title of "Duke", and started using his mass wealth to finance cultural endeavors on Bajor. In 2409 he started work with multiple Bajoran scientist looking into the history of Bajor and its early years of space exploration.
He currently resides on a large plantation on Bajor but is often found traveling across the planet or to nearby star systems in support of his expeditions.
