To: Ship Captains of Aegis Squadron, and Mercury Squadron.
"Greetings Captains. By the accepted request of the Commanders of both Mercury and Aegis squadrons, I shall be taking upon myself the task of
organizing a greater assistance effort to patrol the defensive perimeter of Outpost Argo. In order to do this, it will require the willing participation
of ship captains from either Aegis or Mercury squadrons. However, in order for a vessel to be eligible for defense patrols, they must not be within more than
48 hours of rotation into regular duties pertaining to system or front line patrols.
Only vessels whose shifts require them to stay at Outpost Argo for a certain time frame will be eligible for such assignment, and such assignment shall not be forced should
the Squadron Commander or Captain of the vessel believe that their crew require extensive shore leave. Once again, this requires willing participation of ship captains.
However, it is my belief that such participation will increase the defensive capabilities of Outpost Argo significantly and greatly assist in nullifying the occasional threat of pirates and raiders
who may attempt to steal cargo from freighters, which often results in the relinquishing of much needed supplies if gone unnoticed. The patrols are not strenuous on the
morale of ship crews, and do not require extensive effort. Only under extreme circumstances such as the recalling of defensive ships to assist with a critical
defense point, do such patrols result in dire situations. Though such a situation is just as likely while enjoying shore leave.
