Incident Report: Unauthorized Transfer of Data

Location: Star base tactical level
Time: Approx. 1800
Reporter: Commander Serran (USS Infinity)

At approx. 1800 Captain Morton received a communication from Captain Thomson stating that he had found an officer (Captain Hannas) transferring data without authorization. Captain Morton, Accompanied by Captain Altais and myself (armed) responded to the scene in a time under four mins. Upon arrival, Captain Thomson was found cornering Captain Hannas. Captain Hannas was kept under rifle aim (on stun) by myself and then by Captain Thomson as his identity was confirmed. Investigation by Captain Altais revealed the nature of the data transferred was fleet disposition and movement, classified information. Captain Morton stated that he had given Captain Hannas permission to view the files, but not to transfer them.

Further investigation by Captain Altais showed that the files had been downloaded to a isolinear chip, which had been removed. Scans of the area did not reveal the presence of said chip. Captain Hannas maintained denial of downloading any information. Attempts at interrogation by Captain Morton were met with deflection and more denial. At this time, the Captain became agitated and due to his adverse reaction to the situation, was stunned by Captain Thomson.

Captain Hannas was placed into custody under suspicion of violating general orders regarding classified information. Twice he nearly regained alertness and twice he was subdued. Once by another stun shot from Captain Thomson and once by my use of the "Vulcan neck pinch". He is currently held by Captain Thomson's security forces and being escorted to the brig.

The above information is ascribed and sworn to truth by myself,
