You've got nothing to worry about, hon. These Hur'q things are slight-work. By the time the Dominion has finished chewing on them, anything that limps past the wormhole is already half dead.
This action is more about providing aid than direct confrontation. You yellow shirts are always so popular!
sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. I fell asleep.
I know you say I've got nothing to worry about but you never know. Between you and Mme telling me that I'm quite done with the reminders thank you, ha.
So I remembered; Luke is stationed out around DS9. He might be around. Want me to send him a message? Would you want to meet him or would you get into some weird catfight? Because he's married, so that's not an issue, but I can never tell with you and these things and I mean that in the best way.
The difference between Mme and me is that this is my area of expertise. I can't tell a stem bolt from a stencil, but I'm pretty okay with tactical analysis.
Hahaha, wait, what? A catfight?! I am the very picture of decorum! Tell me how you imagine this encounter might play out.
I haven't exactly imagined it. It's just that I don't know how jealous you are capable of being, but I know you well enough to know I feel it needed to be broached? Don't know if 'sexy catfight' stuff is nearly as interesting in this scenario.
Luke's a good dude and he's in the region. Let me see if he's due to dock anytime soon before I start trying to get you two to have a drink.
I just won Dabo and said I'd buy drinks but nobody seemed to notice!
The good news is that I can bring you back just about any kind of liquor you want from Quark's! Bet I can get him to autograph it for you too.
Oh my God. I can see how many of the heroes of the Dominion War I can get to sign it! How's THAT for a souvenir?!
How's it been, Des? Things here have been quiet. I've been monitoring stuff going on with Atlantis and the internal memos coming out about the Hur'q. Haven't heard anything about Axiom so that's good, right?
It's been good - thanks for the images of our shared menagerie. Nessa is a trooper for putting up with Benjamin and Mompati at once. In hindsight I should've brought him along because I am insanely lonesome.
Got to be a hardass and force Nimitz' hand into getting Trellain back to DS13 in her fragile, distracting state. I expect she's been sulking around some? Sorry about that, but it reminded me of old times not all that long ago.
When this bug hunt wraps up, what should we do to celebrate? Give me specific things to look forward to, won't you?
Apart from being in your arms again, I mean. I think of that on the hour already.
I know you're lonely but if you think about it, even though I know you're not personally worried about the Hur'q, wouldn't you rather make sure he stays safe on-station? Never know when some capacitor might blow in a fight, even one you have handled, fry something anywhere on the ship.
Nessa's made herself the boss. They've both ended up with scratched snouts in the last week but nothing major, she really hasn't been putting up with their over-exuberance. They give her enough room now that everything's calm. I'm sure she'll warm up to them.
Can't say I've seen her, but it's a big station.
Specifics, huh? Well I managed to get some meat from the Klingon place. I guess it's equivalent to an ox, whatever their equivalent to that is, but I've got it in a stasis right now. Thought I'd make us a nice curry when you get back and we could just settle in for a good movie. Unless you're going to be in the mood to go dancing or hit the holodeck and go wild?
Yeah I guess. But seriously, it's so one-sided I almost feel bad for the nasty little bastards.
All the same, you're right, as ever.
What will I be in the mood for? If it keeps on being this easy, dancing and wildness. If things turn around and get hairy, the cuddling with a movie.
The souvenir I got you, by the way? You're gonna freak out.
Oh, get this. Nimitz decided to get all "ACTUALLY" with me about the time frame of when old ships got designed. WHY? Poor silly jerk must not know who my mom is.
Mi'shune's ship, North Star, seems to be so old that they can't find replacement parts in the replicator patterns. WOW. Seems to me that it's time to put it out to pasture after this latest little crusade.
What about you? Co-workers driving you nuts/being especially impressive?
As you probably know by now, the situation isn't a situation anymore. Some True Way dinks have decided now is a good time to get ornery, but other than that things are nice and quiet around here.
The Dominion has decided we're pretty okay after all, so that's nice!
Back in your neck of the woods soon. I miss you and our menagerie.
Sounds like you're on your way back. I'm glad things are getting back to normal. The last thing any of us needed was another war. Especially with more bugs.
