SERVICE TIMELINE


  • 2389 - Graduated from Starfleet Academy with rank of ensign, assigned to engineering aboard the USS John Forrest (Excelsior-class).
  • 2390 - Transferred to Starbase 153, received a promotion to lieutenant junior grade, where he was assigned to Orbital Operations. There he met his future wife, Ariadne Pran, a Betazoid serving as a primary school teacher.
  • 2393 - He and Aria are married. Promotion to lieutenant.
  • 2394 - Ezra Shephard is born, a healthy baby boy.
  • 2396 - Jonathan accepts a posting aboard the USS Riposte (Nebula-class) as Chief Engineer. Ariadne Shephard leaves her teaching position and joins her family on board the Riposte.
  • 2397 - Promotion to lieutenant commander. Relations with Aria become strained; cites multiple reasons including giving up her own position, being unsure if she was ready to be this settled down in her life. They separate a few months later when Aria leaves the Riposte during a visit at Starbase 97 without saying a word.
  • 2399 - Divorce is final. Aria has had limited contact with Ezra since leaving, she does not seek custody.
  • 2400 - Accepts posting aboard the USS Dauntless (Sovereign-class) as first officer, promoted to commander. Begins seeing Kelly Wade, Diplomatic Officer.
  • 2403 - Kelly and John are married.
  • 2404 - Assumed command of the USS Carthage (Galaxy-class). Promoted to captain.
  • 2405 - Kelly Shephard accepts the position of attaché with the Federation Diplomatic Corps, she is assigned to Bajor.
  • 2409 - USS Carthage is lost during the Undine invasion of Earth Spacedock. Temporary reassignment to the Starfleet Corp of Engineers.
  • 2410 - Accepts command of the USS Bainbridge, Andromeda-class, under construction at the Beta Antares Ship Yards.
  • 2414 - USS Bainbridge finally launches from the Beta Antares Ship Yards after construction delays, begins one-year shakedown cruise.
  • 2415 - USS Bainbridge assigned to Task Force Argo near the end of her shakedown cruise.

Notes: Annual physical completed. Patient complained of some left elbow pain, noted some inflammation to tendons and surrounding tissues likely from self-admitted strenuous exercise. Regenerated the area, administered minor analgesic for discomfort. Vitals within normal limits. Blood pressure 124/71, Pulse 77, Respirations 18, Temperature 98.5. Patient is a 48 year-old human male who appears in normal health for his species. Heart, lung and abdominal exams are all unremarkable. Neuro is intact, pupils equal, round and reactive. Pulse, motor, sensory times four. Dermatology exam is unremarkable. HENT reveals some minor ocular degeneration, positive family history. Patient is undergoing treatment.

MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT

Status: OK for active duty per CMO, recommend complete evaluation per regulations as soon as reasonably possible.

Notes: Patient has a prior history of depression stemming from social hardship, reference divorce in previous counseling files. Mental health screening is unremarkable. No suicidal ideation, no homicidal ideation, no anxiety, no signs of prior depression. Patient experiences normal stressors of a parent and command officer. Family has no past history of mental illness.
