BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Kit's early life was colored by tragedy, but not unhappiness. At five years of age, she was orphaned when her parents were both killed in a civilian vehicular accident that coincided with Federation diplomatic events on their home planet. Kit was fostered instead by a human female who was posted as a diplomat to the planet's Federation Embassy.
At the age of sixteen, Kit applied to participate in a new government venture. A joint effort between Federation Embassy staff and the Assembly, the program sought to prepare and acclimate interested youth for travel beyond the Kir system. After roughly a year of observation, Kit became one of the first Kir sponsored to Starfleet Academy by Captain Coby Morton, along with seven other candidates.
