Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher inclines his head towards Sadia "Captain"

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *nods to both* Captains. Please join me for the working lunch.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Our OSN allies should be along soon, so we can plan on how to deal with that Syndicate prison.

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher nods

Egzo@HF_Mudd nods, and takes a seat.

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher sits in a chair.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Ah, good to see you, Tabadi. Please join us.

Egzo@HF_Mudd sits in a chair.

Lorri@crystyll pulls up a seat with a courteous nod to Sadia

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: <FX> Each sitting place has the plates and utensils set and there's plently of food and drinks on the table.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: I must admit it's strange to be so close to my old hunting grounds during the war with the Federation.

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher reaches out and starts shoveling food onto his plate

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: tell us a tale of your time here!

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher sits in a chair.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *she starts filling her plate as well* I wish I had truly glorious stories to tell. But at that time I was commading a bird of prey, and I was part of raiding squadron that was striking Starfleet -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: - assets behind enemy lines. It was a game of hunter and prey, us striking their resupply facilities, and then chasing each other across the old neutral zone.

Egzo@HF_Mudd nods, observing "My kind of game" before drinking from his mug.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *she takes a sip form her mug* I remember the time we hit their refueling station at the border just north of Drozana. Two ships drew the patrol off while rest of the wing hit the facility, took all -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: - the refined dilithium we could, and lit up the place. The explosion could be detected half a sector away. Unfortunately we drew too much attention, and Starfleet managed to block us off from reaching

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: - Drozana. We were outnumbered 3 to 1 by our pursuers, so we entered an asteroid bet of an uncharted system to either shake them off or plan an ambush.

Egzo@HF_Mudd chuckles. "Classic."

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher listens intently

Istar@anncarise was totally here all along and being Lorri's bodyguard

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: However, I knew the place was a staging ground for True Way terrorists, who were at that time building up their presence in the sector - not sure what they were doing here, allegedly they were -

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher sits in a chair.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: - hijacking ships to fill out their roster. I had not enough ships to hit that place on my own, and local KDF command was too busy with Starfleet, so I decided this would be as good time as any to -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: - kill two troubles in one go. We left enough engine signatures before cloaking and luring Starfleet pursuers into True Way defense systems.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *starts cutting her food* True Way forces put up a good fight, but they were not match for better equipped Starfleet. We joined in the fray to even things a little, an in the end Starfleet was forced

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: - to fall back as they lost almost half their ships, and more of our reinforcements were incoming.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Nice."

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "Using an enemy to fight another enemy. It is not the most traditional tactic, but you used it well."

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher raises his glass in salute

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "Brings back memories of my own time aboard a bird of prey."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *she noms on a piece of meat* Not a glorious "against all odds" situation, but we were not in a state to win the fight on our own.

Egzo@HF_Mudd pops a chunk of meat (dripping with grapok sauce) into his mouth, getting his fingers sticky, and washes it down with another drink.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Well, since we have all gathered, we can also start the official part of the lunch.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Tabadi, any news regarding the Syndicate prison facility?

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Fairly typical setup to this place" she starts, tapping to call up a holomap

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Asteroid 45675-A-34, home of prison facility 042. Inmate population's only around the 5k mark, with around 500 staff running the place"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Fairly standard layout for this kind of place with 6 outer docks, 3 for ships that bring in slaves, 3 for ships that pick up slaves"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Defenses are average at best too; 10 disruptor defense turrets on the facility, standard mk XII shields, at least 12+ mobile turrets masked as smaller asteroids around the facility, two squadrons +

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: + consisting of 4 frigates and 1 light cruiser each. Though they do have nicely upgraded sensor arrays by all accounts, probably to do with proximity to cloaked vessel activity"

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher grunts "That is unfortunate"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "That is why we liberate such facilities from within" she smiles

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "As for the Syndicate cell looking to entrap us with this. Information has been frustratingly less helpful"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Though at least proceedings are now underway to freeze the assets of that idiot we met with from Narris and process him as a Syndicate operative" she beams happily

Egzo@HF_Mudd snorts into his mug.

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "I have taken the liberty of running a background check on this G'kan fellow that was recommended as a possible asset"

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: He is an officer who began his career as a foot soldier in the dominion war. mostly he was dealing with the Romulan and Gorn conflicts, and he distinguished himself enough that he was to be elevated-

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: to the nobility, as the head of his own house. Unfortunately for him, he was a supporter of the late Chancellor Martok, and when he was killed, G'kans hopes of promotion died with him.

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher says this last bit with a sarcastic tone

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Yeah, well, turns out he ain't - dead, I mean - so...?"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Sounds like this could be just what the old boy needs"

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: G'kan was sent to rot on a patrol in the Donatu sector, but he has gotten into conflict with the local magistrate , J'dah, over the magistrate's inability to curtail the Syndicate.

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "He accuses the magistrate of being complicit with the syndicate, but has not been able to gather enough information, and was ordered to drop it by his superiors. Since then he has laid low.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Sounds 'bout right."

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Most 'a these frontier magistrates got /somethin'/ goin' on the side."

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: With Martok's return it seems he is preparing to renew his attempts to focus the councils attention on the magistrate's incompetence, so he would likely respond to the promise of solid evidence"

Egzo@HF_Mudd wipes a small chunk of bread in the grapok drippings on his plate and stuffs it in his mouth.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *has been eating silently for a bit* J'Dah...I know that name... House K'lek, that's a Great House that absorbed the House I was serving in. Hm, no wonder G'Kan was silenced.

Egzo@HF_Mudd nods again to Hach'Qo, and then Sadia.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: However, if G'Kan is back in business and has Martok's ear, if we provide him with the proper evidence this could actually reach the High Council.

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "In that case, any dishonor that the magistrate incurs will besmirch the reputation of the house you served. Should we attempt to handle this more quietly?"

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *sips* I mean, we could free all the slaves, blow up the station and kill all syndicate forces, but they would just rebuild after a while.

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "They might try. Not like they've succeeded in doing so anywhere else we've shut them down"

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "What I mean is, you have contacts in his house. If we prove that we have evidence of this J'dah's corruption, they may choose to deal with it internally, to avoid dishonor being brough to their house

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: I'm not in a good graces with K'lek, to say at least. The House of Jarov did not get dissolved on friendly terms, and many are still suspicious of K'lek's involvement in the assassination of the Jarov leadership.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Once K'lek took our holdings, all non-klingon servants were thrown out. *grumbles*

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: I shall speak no more of it, unless someone, like G'Kan, has more to offer evidence wise. But that was almost 10 years ago.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Anyhow.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Tabadi, what would be your plan to deal with this facility. Your forces obviously have experience in fighting Syndicate.

Egzo@HF_Mudd looks to Lorri, over his mug.

Lorri@crystyll chuckles, "Experience is putting it lightly at this point I think. Well as you can tell from the level of intel we already have a Ghost working on the inside"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "They are already riling up the inmate population and preparing secure cache locations we can discretely transport small arms to"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "As it stands now, they are essentially just strengthening the insurgency while awaiting our instructions with a stardate for orbital support and extraction"

Egzo@HF_Mudd looks from Lorri to Sadia.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Officially, we are all resupplying at Drozana station. Daramar and Ll'tak are too big to be used for this operation, even with improvements in cloak technology for bigger klingon ships, we will have -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: - serious issue deploying them in Kordis system without being detected. *to Hach'Qo* I guess we will have to revisit our days of Bird of Prey command, captain.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: I believe your vessel has Birds of Prey as wing support, and my own parasite craft will be far easier to mask.

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Thana can accommodate the evac capacity, but it would be more comfortable with at least Daramar on standby. I don't know your specs quite so well, but it's the same spaceframe so your capacity should+

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: + be on par with our own"

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher nods "Indeed, I have two Ning'tao class vessels, as well as six flights of warp capable fighters should we require them"

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *to Lorri* If more evac capacity is needed, we can bring our cloaked armed military freighter, IKS N'Guc, to assist with that. It is imperative that KDF forces are not implicated in this op.

[Local] Istar@anncarise: "If it comes to it and Daramar can't get in there, we can always spread any remaining folks over some smaller ships."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: I did ask Egzo to check if we can get more local support.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Yeah. I know a cutter, head 'a Clan Povo. Not a big one, but big enough for this, and they're close by."

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "They mostly escort convoys these days, instead 'a raidin' em. Probably wouldn't mind some real action, and better pay."

[Local] Istar@anncarise: "I know birds of prey aren't exactly comfy, but when you lived under the Syndicate, you're used to it. I know I certainly wouldn't mind being crowded with a Klingon crew for a few days if it meant freedom."

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "I should note, Captain, that the LI'taH is a KDF vessel, as are its support craft. Of course, destroying a Syndicate base is well within the level of autonomy KDF command has given me"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Well if Thana can get in there, Daramar can. But I see your point about keeping the KDF clear, we can deal with being a little snug for the return trip" she smiles

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "I cannot be seen to move against the magistrate politically. I have no love for J'mpok, but I cannot align my house with Martok just yet.

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "If it's easier, we can just bring 100% OSN support and transfer your flags to our vessels. We have enough of those former True Way vessels in service now to spread the love"

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *nods* KDF must remain clear if possible in this matter. Political situation is more volatile then ever, so we need to act carefully. *to Lorri* Bringing larger task force into Klingon space, even -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: - to reveal Syndicate wrongdoing, will be seen as act of war, and could endanger OSN standing greatly. This has to look as an clandestine operation, at least until the evidence is presented to the Council.

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Larger task force? I only said transfer to our vessels, not add them to your existing plans"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "You know. Because you don't want any KDF vessels seen to be involved"

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Ah, I misunderstood. Birds of prey can be easily masked and we are more competent at commading those.

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Masking won't make a difference when it comes to a shoot out. I thought the point was you didn't want to be seen in conflict with the magistrates friends. My bad"

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Either way, the offer is there if you desire it"

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "I suggest we launch the birds of prey before we enter the sector, maintain strict radio silence. As far as anyone else is concerned, the LI'taH's full complement is onboard it at Drozana

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "again the only things we are attacking are Syndicate forces. well within the rights of any KDF officer.

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "True. But don't forget that the invitation to launch this revolution was aimed directly at our task force. Given the political imbalance, it is entirely likely that someone is looking to stitch up +

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: + Captain Sadia by having her revealed in this as a negative action"

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: We can modify IFF and engine signatures to make birds look like rebel ships.

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: It may be wise for me to stay on board the LI'TaH, and send my first with you. It would attract less attention

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *finshes her food* All right. We will arrange a meeting with captain G'Kan, and see if he's willing to assist us in this matter.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "He should be. Got a lotta things to offer and buttons t' push - honor, duty, payback."

Egzo@HF_Mudd smirks, "Seein' 'justice' done at last." He pops one last morsel into his mouth and chews on that.

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "His assistance, particularly in covering our tracks, would be invaluable"

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Egzo, we'll keep Povo option open for now, if Lorri wants more support with no strings attached, it's up to her.

Egzo@HF_Mudd nods to the Boss.

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "I do not relish this cloak and dagger behavior."

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: general idea of this event is that we can't just roll in and play police - it's not our designated area and we could suffer more problems from Houses than Syndicate for stepping on other nobles toes

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *to Hach'Qo* Me neither, I'd wish we could just roll in, but we don't have authority in this part of the Empire.

Egzo@HF_Mudd leans past Lorri to address Hach'Qo: "Get used t' it. You ain't in the core worlds anymore."

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Though really, the back alleys of Qo'noS are even worse."

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Out here, most cutters'll be polite enough t' stab ya in the /front/."

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "When Honor Demands hiding our actions from the Empire, the Chancellor has failed."

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher looks around "If the council hears I have said that, I will know who to quarrel with"

Egzo@HF_Mudd shrugs. "Won't hear it from me."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *to Lorri* Me and my bird of prey is yours to command for this operation. *to Hach'Qo* If you do not wish to join us, I will understand. I will have to wait for another opportunity to see your skills.

Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher nods "you will have my First, Gah'ren, with you. I will keep up appearances.

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "Besides, I have never officially been given command of a Bird of Prey, my first command was a battlecruiser

Egzo@HF_Mudd chuckles, looking to Sadia. "It's a whole diff'rent kind a' flyin'. And fightin'."

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Cloak and dagger, in the back if ya can. Fightin' like a cruiser will get ya swatted."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: All right. I will see that N'Guc is available for prisoner transport, they can use transporters under cloak, so their presence will not be in danger.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: I will see to secure a meeting with Captain G'Kan.

Egzo@HF_Mudd nods again.

[Team] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: We could even split this up into two RPs, the attack on the Sindicate base, and Hach'Qo on the LI'tah speaking with whatever officials are trying to prove we're doing something illegal

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Whether he decides to help or not, we will proceed with the attack. We can always find another venues to disseminate the evidence we'll get.

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: if worst comes to worst. I can approach House Krell as another noble, say I intercepted evidence of the magistrate's wrongdoing, With the LI'taH's emphasis on communication control it would -

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: be believable. I can suggest I wanted to give them the opportunity to deal with the proble without dishonoring themselves before going to the council. It would solve the issue without creating too many enemies

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *nods* Sure. Anything else?

Egzo@HF_Mudd gives Hach'Qo another appraising look down the table. Maybe the new cutter has room in his head for more than honor after all...?

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *looks at the others at the table*

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Nah, I'm good."

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Lemme know if you want me t' get Povo in on this."

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "I won't say anything to 'em just yet."

[Local] Lorri@crystyll: "Same. Just let me know if you want anything more from us. Otherwise, we'll await your word on the timing"

[Local] Hach'Qo@carebearcrusher: "I will inform my first Gah'ren of his orders

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Very well, we will rejoin just before the meeting with G'Kan. You are free to stay for the rest of the lunch, of course, but official part of the meeting is finished.
