Spoiler: And now the conclusionShow
The Scryer@anncarise FX | After finding a more detailed layout of the station, the team proceeds forward to the control centre, hurrying to extract whatever intel they can before the Scryer self-destructs his base.

The Scryer@anncarise | Sounds of battle and footsteps echo throughout the base as they proceed towards the control centre. They are unhampered for a few minutes, until they come across the body of four Orions and a -

The Scryer@anncarise - Gorn, from the looks of their armour all Colonial Fleet clones from the task force that had come to assist against the Scryer.

The Scryer@anncarise | As they approach the bodies, they hear heavy footsteps coming down a bend in the hall...

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *keeps whatever cover she can get as she scans the bodies for signs of life*

The Scryer@anncarise | The bodies are dead, but there is a lifesign coming from further down the hall- a Tzenkethi one.

The Scryer@anncarise - SKIRMISH -

The Scryer@anncarise | Sadia is forced to duck into cover as a stream of bolts comes down the hall.

The Scryer@anncarise - SADIA'S TURN -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *waits for an opportunity to fire back between the weapon cycles, scanning the opponent in the meantime for weak spots*

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: roll please!

[Emotes] Sadia@gulremal: rolls 72 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | Sadia locates weak spots in the armour, passing the info on to the rest of the team. She also manages to figure out the Tzenkethi's firing cycles fairly well, allowing the others to time their -

The Scryer@anncarise - attacks without getting caught in the volley either.

The Scryer@anncarise - EGZO'S TURN -

Egzo@HF_Mudd waits for one of those cooldown gaps, then leans out and fires off a blast from his pulsewave.

[Emotes] Egzo@HF_Mudd: rolls 76 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | The blast from Egzo's powerful pulsewave tears through the Tzenkethi's personal shielding and dislodges its frontal plating, leaving a large weak spot to hit!

The Scryer@anncarise - LORRI'S TURN -

Lorri@crystyll aims for the weak spot

[Emotes] Lorri@crystyll: rolls 83 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | Lorri nails the weak spot and the Tzenkethi drops!

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar: "Nice shot, Tabadi."

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: I should use more Tzenkethi ground enemies

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: They make for good tougher enemy variant types

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar: "Control centre's this way. We're getting close."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Good work. Hoepfully no more of these guys are in the way.

Egzo@HF_Mudd moves up along with Sadia.

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar leads the team through an entryway when suddenly electrical sparks run through all of them. Istar yelps and drops her weapons as they begin to glow, and everyone else's weapons -

The Scryer@anncarise - begin to similarly overheat.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *she reflexively drops her weapon*

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar: "Gisjacheh! There's an EMP field! My visor's down, too."

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar draws her knives instead as five figures approach. It appears to be the Scryer, flanked by four Kzinti.

The Scryer@anncarise | Kzinti 1: "No Klingons? I was hoping for someone respectable. No matter. The Nausicaan looks like he can handle himself."

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: you mean Ferasan?

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Nah, Ferasan are a different thing

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Ferasan are Caitian variants that STO invented because they weren't able to use Kzinti for some reason

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: but Kzinti are still canon I believe

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: eh? I thought ferasan were remade kzinti because Niven didn't give them rights

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Yeah they didn't have rights to it, that's why!

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: They're a different thing because Ferasan were originally intended to be Kzinti but STO had to change them to be an original thing

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: But the Kzinti are still canon in Trek and have their own different identity

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: (at least that's how I interpret it!)

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: ah well, we are not bound by copyfights

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Hehe exactly!

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Which is why I decided to use Kzinti as a different thing

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Plus there's so many humanoid races, not a stretch to say there's more feline races and the Kzinti are a distinct thing

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Just similar to Ferasans and Caitians in some genetic ways

Egzo@HF_Mudd just drops his fried disruptor to the deck with a *clunk* and draws his tegolar. "Come and see, then," he invites the one who spoke.

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "Oh they will be a challenge. Take them out."

The Scryer@anncarise - ROUND ONE -

The Scryer@anncarise | The four Kzinti charge forward, two with sabers and two armed with nothing more than their claws and teeth.

The Scryer@anncarise - SADIA'S TURN -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *she draws her weapon and assumes defesive position, ready to delfect blows and assess enemy's skill*

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: roll please!

[Emotes] Sadia@gulremal: rolls 96 (1-100)

[Team] Egzo@HF_Mudd: daaaang

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: time for some Tsushima fight scenes? :)

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Hehe

The Scryer@anncarise | Sadia easily parries one of the saber Kzinti's blows. It seems Sadia has way outleveled these guys.

The Scryer@anncarise - EGZO'S TURN -

Egzo@HF_Mudd meets the scream-and-leap charge with a roar of his own, then attempts to step out of the way and deliver a slashing cut at the massive cat.

[Emotes] Egzo@HF_Mudd: rolls 81 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | Egzo slashes the massive cat across the abdomen and he stumbles back, hissing.

The Scryer@anncarise - LORRI'S TURN -

Lorri@crystyll draws a blade and works it with acrobatic kicks to offbalance the cats

[Emotes] Lorri@crystyll: rolls 9 (1-100)

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Oh no

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Sadia stole your spots

[Team] Lorri@crystyll: oh well

The Scryer@anncarise | The cats are too big and powerful to be held back by kicks and charges in, grabbing the wrist holding the knife and soon getting into a grapple with Lorri.

The Scryer@anncarise - ISTAR'S TURN -

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar tries to use the distraction to jump on the back of the Kzinti grabbing Lorri.

[Emotes] The Scryer@anncarise: rolls 93 (1-100)

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Or maybe I did...

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Oops

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: hehe

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar sinks a dagger into the back of the big cat, using it as leverage to climb onto his back and sink the second into his neck. He tries to knock Istar off violently, causing him to let go of -

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: - Lorri as he turns his body left and right.

[Emotes] The Scryer@anncarise: rolls 98 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | The fourth Kzinti grabs Istar and throws her aside, though the one she had stabbed drops to the floor, too wounded to be saved. The one slashed by Egzo is injured but still presses on, swinging -

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: - his saber at Egzo. The one fighting Sadia seems to be putting more effort in now as he sees his friends wounded around him.

The Scryer@anncarise - ROUND TWO -

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: - SADIA'S TURN -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *she moves in for a quick counterattack, fast horizontal slash followed by a stab*

[Emotes] Sadia@gulremal: rolls 95 (1-100)

[Emotes] Sadia@gulremal: rolls 95 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | Sadia is too good. The Kzinti jumps back as Sadia slashes, but not fast enough as the blade cuts through his abdomen. Stunned by the injury, he doesn't manage to react fast enough to the stab -

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: - either and is quickly finished off.

The Scryer@anncarise - EGZO'S TURN -

Egzo@HF_Mudd parries his opponent's saber, feints, then goes for another slash.

[Emotes] Egzo@HF_Mudd: rolls 99 (1-100)

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: woooow

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: these rolls

[Team] Egzo@HF_Mudd: you realize we are gonna get completely hosed later.

The Scryer@anncarise | Egzo knocks aside the weakened Kzinti's saber easily and finishes him with a second slash, this one landing across the neck and causing the feline to stumble back before collapsing.

The Scryer@anncarise - LORRI'S TURN -

The Scryer@anncarise | The Kzinti that tossed Istar aside pounces for Lorri.

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: shhhh don't call for trouble.

Lorri@crystyll keeps trying to bladedance her way through it

[Emotes] Lorri@crystyll: rolls 15 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | Lorri manages to avoid being grabbed by the Kzinti, but the blade is difficult to hit anything with the Kzinti swinging furry clawed arms, and she spends most of her time dodging instead.

The Scryer@anncarise - ISTAR'S TURN -

[Emotes] The Scryer@anncarise: rolls 77 (1-100)

[Team] Egzo@HF_Mudd: see, your problem is, you're trying to get too fancy. :p

[Team] Egzo@HF_Mudd: I mean, don't just charge in like these mooks did, but

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar meanwhile has recovered quickly from being thrown, breaking her fall and rolling onto one knee. She looks back to the fight but realizes the Scryer clone has stepped right in front of her.

[Emotes] The Scryer@anncarise: rolls 98 (1-100)

[Team] Lorri@crystyll: she's high orion so fancy is all she knows :p

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Why are the bad guys consistently rolling 98

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: I should stop rolling for them and just assume 98

[Team] Lorri@crystyll: she's also way past her prime so no good at anything more than putting on a pretty show xD

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: hehe true

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar sweeps her non-kneeling leg to knock the Scryer to the ground with her, but he seems to have anticipated the move, catching her ankle between an arm and his own leg.

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar quickly drops onto her back, swinging her other leg to the other side of the Scryer. She manages to grab him with her legs and pull him onto the ground, but as she tries to flip over on -

The Scryer@anncarise - top of the Scryer, the Cardassian manages to manipulate his fall so he drops right on top of her instead. The force of the impact momentarily stuns Istar, but the moment is enough for the -

The Scryer@anncarise - Scryer to pin her to the ground.

The Scryer@anncarise - ROUND THREE -

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: One Kzinti and one Scryer remaining!

The Scryer@anncarise - SADIA'S TURN -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *moves in with measured steps towards Kzinti who's pressuring Lorri, coming in with a downwards slash*

[Emotes] Sadia@gulremal: rolls 90 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | The unarmed Kzinti tries to dodge, to no avail as he is slashed by Sadia!

The Scryer@anncarise - EGZO'S TURN -

Egzo@HF_Mudd attempts to finish off the last Kzinti so they can face the Scryer together.

[Emotes] Egzo@HF_Mudd: rolls 95 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | Egzo easily finishes off the wounded Kzinti.

The Scryer@anncarise - LORRI'S TURN -

Lorri@crystyll launches a blade at the Scryer busy mounting Istar

[Emotes] Lorri@crystyll: rolls 76 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | The blade catches the Scryer in the side, stopping him from trying to choke Istar, but he seems mostly unphased by the injury, instead pulling out the blade to use as his own weapon...

The Scryer@anncarise - ISTAR'S TURN -

[Emotes] The Scryer@anncarise: rolls 15 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | As the Scryer pulls out the knife, Istar tries to use her now free hands to hit him in the face, but the Scryer catches her wrist with one hand and tries to stab with the knife in the other.

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar manages to grab his wrist in turn, pulling the knife away from her neck just in time and the two struggle on the ground.

The Scryer@anncarise - ROUND FOUR -

The Scryer@anncarise - SADIA'S TURN -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *nods to Egzo, motioning him to flank the scryer and knock him out*

The Scryer@anncarise - EGZO'S TURN -

Egzo@HF_Mudd attempts to do just that, reversing his blade to use the pommel.

[Emotes] Egzo@HF_Mudd: rolls 79 (1-100)

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: I mean sadia was planning to do it as a joint effort

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: flanking move

[Team] Egzo@HF_Mudd: not /as/ awesome, but hopefully enough?

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Ahh

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Hehe

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Yup!

[Team] Egzo@HF_Mudd: Sadia distracts, then?

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: That works I think!

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: sure

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: just say if something needs to be rolled

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Nah! this is good!

The Scryer@anncarise | With Sadia's distraction, Egzo hits the Scryer and he falls limp. Istar pushes him off and grabs the knife, pressing it against his neck before glancing up to Egzo with a puzzled look.

The Scryer@anncarise | Her gaze trails past him to a door on the other side which slides open, revealing another Scryer clone stepping out...

The Scryer@anncarise - LORRI'S TURN -

Lorri@crystyll quickly launches another blade at the new arrival

[Emotes] Lorri@crystyll: rolls 7 (1-100)

Egzo@HF_Mudd looks up as well, and asks the obvious aggravated question: "Aw hells, how many ARE there?"

The Scryer@anncarise | The distance makes the blade easy to dodge as the Scryer sidesteps it before picking it up.

The Scryer@anncarise - ISTAR'S TURN -

[Team] Egzo@HF_Mudd: poor Lorri.

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar takes the knife in her hand and tries to backstab the Scryer while he retrieves his knife.

[Team] Egzo@HF_Mudd: everyone's stealing her spots today.

[Emotes] The Scryer@anncarise: rolls 39 (1-100)

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: I know right...

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "We need to stop the self destruct sequence, or at least get as much data as we can. He's just trying to buy time."

The Scryer@anncarise | The Scryer picks up the knife too quickly before Istar can stab him, causing the two to circle one another with a knife each.

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar: "This is the only route to the control centre! We've gotta get through him...them!"

[Emotes] The Scryer@anncarise: rolls 84 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar steps out of the way as the Scryer lunges in, and tries to counterattack as she successfully dodges the attack, but the Scryer outmaneuvers her with his Obsidian Order training, allowing -

The Scryer@anncarise - his knife to land a slash on Istar's arm.

The Scryer@anncarise - ROUND FIVE -

The Scryer@anncarise - SADIA'S TURN -

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *grunts affirmatively as she rises her sword and charges in with a powerful downward slash*

[Emotes] Sadia@gulremal: rolls 34 (1-100)

[Team] Sadia@gulremal: I'm staying with that roll

The Scryer@anncarise | The Scryer jumps out of the way of the slash but is unable to counterattack with such a short knife.

The Scryer@anncarise - EGZO'S TURN -

Egzo@HF_Mudd moves in also, trying to flank and assist Sadia.

[Emotes] Egzo@HF_Mudd: rolls 84 (1-100)

The Scryer@anncarise | Egzo cuts down the Scryer clone!

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar: "Through here!"

Egzo@HF_Mudd actually looks a bit surprised as another puppet falls with cut strings. Wasn't expecting it to be /that/ easy...

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar leads the way into the room ahead...

The Scryer@anncarise FX | https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/a/af/Starkiller_clones.png/revision/latest?cb=20130903111928

The Scryer@anncarise | Which appears to be lined with tanks, some of them empty, but many of them filled...with Scryer clones. One of them opens, spilling liquid onto the ground as another Scryer clone emerges...

Egzo@HF_Mudd pulls up short, looking around at the rows of... "Well, answers THAT question."

The Scryer@anncarise - LORRI'S TURN -

Lorri@crystyll launches another blade, because thats about all she can do at this point

[Emotes] Lorri@crystyll: rolls 85 (1-100)

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: yaaay a good roll!

The Scryer@anncarise | At this range, the blade finds its way into the clone's throat and it drops to the ground.

[Team] Egzo@HF_Mudd: finally :)

The Scryer@anncarise | A second later, yet another tank opens and another clone steps out...

The Scryer@anncarise - ISTAR'S TURN -

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar rushes ahead, slitting the clone's throat before it has a chance to do anything yet.

The Scryer@anncarise | Another tank opens behind them...

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar: "He's definitely trying to buy time. We can't stand around and stab 'em all!"

Egzo@HF_Mudd tells Sadia, "Self-destruct. Go. We'll hold 'em."

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar: "Control centre should be just ahead!"

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: Eh, what do I know about tech? You guys rush ahead, I'll cover your back!"

Egzo@HF_Mudd is conflicted - not out of any sense of chivalry, just that she's the Boss and it's /his/ job to protect her - but reluctantly nods to the necessity.

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar stabs another clone coming at them, "No time to argue!"

The Scryer@anncarise | The clones continue to emerge one by one...

Egzo@HF_Mudd hurries on.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "Go, go! I'm right behind you!"

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Hmm...let's go to the middle of the map for this!

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Over here

The Scryer@anncarise sits down.

The Scryer@anncarise | Egzo rushes past the clone chamber into what seems to be a control centre surrounded by computers and computer monitors. In the middle is a very elderly Cardassian man in a chair connected with -

The Scryer@anncarise - various tubes and machinery to the equipment around him.

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar, Lorri and Sadia continue fending off clones as they back into the room slowly behind Egzo.

The Scryer@anncarise | As Egzo approaches, the tubes begin to disconnect as the chair slowly spins around...

The Scryer@anncarise | The currently active clone collapses without anyone hitting it, and no more seem to be emerging.

Egzo@HF_Mudd eyes the original(?) Scryer warily.

The Scryer@anncarise | The elderly Cardassian turns to Egzo. Though gaunt from age and likely being connected to these machines, the facial similarity to the Scryer clones is still distinguishable.

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "So. You are to be my executioner, then?"

Egzo@HF_Mudd shrugs. "If I gotta. Turn off the destruct, and let's talk."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "I'm afraid that's not possible. The command has been given. It cannot be retracted, not even with my authorization."

The Scryer@anncarise gives a hoarse chuckle, "I always thought it would be some heroic Starfleet Captain that would be my end, but I should have expected this."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "Orions, Nausicaans, KDF officers. The Federation doesn't like getting its hands dirty, does it?"

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Nope. Never has."

Egzo@HF_Mudd starts looking around the room for something he can use to shut off the big boom, keeping the ancient talking in the meantime.

The Scryer@anncarise | There are many consoles, all of them alien and similar to the interfaces in the ruins they had encountered.

Egzo@HF_Mudd wishes he had some of those ladies along. Ah well. Have to make do.

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "They are using you. You are allies out of convenience. And when they are finished with you, you will be a shell of yourselves."

[Team] The Scryer@anncarise: Sadia and Lorri can enter now that the clones are shut down!

[Tell] The Scryer@anncarise: Egzo finds that there is already a lot of data that has been decrypted and just sitting there on the consoles

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "I know what you are here for. You will not have time to download the Network's information. But you will have time to take what I give you."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *comes in, with more blood on her outfit, wiping her blade as she surveys the room*

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "I have failed, just as my people have many years ago. Take my gift, so the same fate will not befall your peoples."

Egzo@HF_Mudd moves to one of the consoles and examines it, keeping one suspicious eye on the Scryer.

[Tell] The Scryer@anncarise: The data seems to be exclusively on the Federation. All sorts of intel, possible everything the Network has on Starfleet and the Federation

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "A gift. I like gifts. But why would you 'gift' us anything?"

Egzo@HF_Mudd debates with himself only a moment, then sheathes his tegolar - trusting he can defeat this cutter with bare hands and arm blades, if need be - to draw his tricorder instead, and start downloading.

Egzo@HF_Mudd scans the environment with a tricorder.

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "My plans for dismantling the Federation have failed, in large part due to your intervention. But I do not blame you. You were merely being used. One does not convict a knife of murder."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "But there may come a day when you see them with the same clarity I do. Do not turn this data over to them. Keep it."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "You will need it one day. And perhaps when that time comes, you can use it to finish what I have begun."

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "So we can do /your/ dirty work instead?"

Egzo@HF_Mudd doesn't stop downloading, though.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "What's your beef with the Federation, anyway? And how did you even think to do that, on your own?"

The Scryer@anncarise chuckles again, "I will be long dead then. But perhaps this information can still save your Empire. Your Space Navy."

Lorri@crystyll eyerolls, "One last ditch attempt to sow the seeds of dissent?" she shakes her head with disappointment

The Scryer@anncarise looks to Sadia, "It was an ambitious idea, I admit. But I had to try. The mighty Andorians. The glorious Cardassians. And now your Klingon Empire, and the brainwashed Romulan /Republic/."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "All brought low by the Federation, forced to play by their rules. They even seek to influence the Dominion now!"

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "They expect all those they touch to become like them. Do you know the only thing that spreads so quickly, propagating copies of itself everywhere? A cancer."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "It is a cancer in the galaxy, and it must be removed."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "No empire lasts forever, neither will the Federation. And you're giving it too much credit."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "Indeed, but how many peoples will it ruin before it finally gives in and dies?"

Egzo@HF_Mudd is still downloading, while the others talk. There's a LOT here, enough to fill his tricorder.

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "Take my gift, so your people will not meet the same fate as mine."

The Scryer@anncarise | Istar: "We got five more minutes, then we have to start heading back or we won't make it off station before it goes boom."

[Tell] The Scryer@anncarise: And it seems the data will take exactly five more minutes to download. Almost like the Scryer planned this...

Egzo@HF_Mudd mutters, looking at the time-to-finish on the small screen. "Cuttin' it close..."

The Scryer@anncarise continues speaking, "Do not use this information if you do not wish to. But I warn you not to hand it over to the Federation."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "Look, I'm the last one to defend the Feds, but if other governments can't make a case for why their people will stick to them and not go over, that's their failure."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "Our views may not align, but you know what I speak has truth to it. Keep the information for yourselves. Keep it secret. One day, you may need it."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "And whatever data you have for us, whether some parts of it do eventually end up in Feds hands, it will be not up to us. I do not plan to give it to Feds myself."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "But I'm just a gear in a bigger machine, doing what I can to help people I care about."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "Good. Then tell your Empire to keep it safe. The Federation will not reward you if you reveal to them what you know. They'll simply fix the gaps in their defenses and move on."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "I am certain your Empire will see the wisdom in keeping this data, should the time come when the Federation is your enemy again."

[Local] The Scryer@anncarise: "That will be your story. I have merely given you tools to write it as you wish. My story...I believe it ends here."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "I wouldn't be surprised, considering previous Empire's record."

The Scryer@anncarise nods, "Peace has never lasted with the Federation, has it? It is not your way."

The Scryer@anncarise smirks, "Good."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "That's how it goes, Empire always needs an outside threat or it collapses into civil war. Eventually it will meet it's match."

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Done. We gotta move."

Egzo@HF_Mudd shoves the tricorder back in its holster.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "Well, it was nice trading words with you, but we'll make our exit now."

The Scryer@anncarise nods, "How do the Klingons say it again? I'll see you in Gre'thor."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "I guess you wish to go down with your station." *shrugs* "I'd prefer oblivion inst-"

Egzo@HF_Mudd steps over and almost casually runs the old man through.

The Scryer@anncarise gasps, but not in shock, simply looking down at the blade.

Egzo@HF_Mudd pulls the tegolar free and sheathes it again, turning to Sadia.

[Local] Egzo@HF_Mudd: "Just makin' sure."

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: "That...was rude." *sheathes her weapon* "But I get it, time to leg it folks!"

The Scryer@anncarise 's body droops over the side of his chair, motionless.

[Local] Sadia@gulremal: *while tactically retreating* "Well, some people just can't let things go. I mean, i'd understand if he wanted revenge or something, but this..."

The Scryer@anncarise | The team promptly hurries back to the assault shuttles, launching off just in time to clear the explosion as the station destroys itself in a flash behind them...
