The Romulan Star Empire was prosecuting several wars of self defense against the Alien menace. With all eyes shifted to the frontiers, few could have imagined the events that were out to transpire on Romulus.
After Consul D’Nal was found dead from an apparent stroke, various members within the Imperial Senate began making a play for the now vacant consul seat.
While most attributed the stroke to old age, the remaining Consul Nathes and a handful of allies suspected that the First Consul had been poisoned by Terran infiltrators.
Acting in secret alongside the Military and Tal Shiar, Consul Nathes has assumed temporary command of the IRW Tebok. While the temporary appointment on the Tebok is unpopular, few on the ship were prepared to imagine that the Star Empire’s very fate would hinge on their actions…

The Romulan Star Empire, in the mirror universe, exists unbroken and undivided. It never suffered the loss of senior Tal Shiar agents during the Battle of the Omarion Nebula. Further, it never suffered the political upheaval that eventually led to the Romulan Republic.
Instead, the Romulan Star Empire persists, strong and ruthless and at the height of its power. The Tal Shiar maintains tight control of information, the Military prosecutes “wars of self defense” against Alien Filth “aggressive enemies”, and a general state of mistrust persists within Rihannsu society. Remans are slaves.
I will be running two sessions for Romulan characters. In these two sessions, characters will be investigating the death of the First Consul of the Romulan Star Empire. The outcome of this investigation will determine the fate of the Star Empire and, further, determine if war breaks out with the hated Terran enemy.
