"As of Stardate 95065 I have been promoted to acting Executive Officer of the R.R.W. Saeihr. It was.. certainly less expected than the sedition from our previous XO, Rojok. Although I am the next highest ranking officer on the bridge, my command experience has been virtually nonexistent, a fact the Khre'Riov is entirely aware of. If I had to guess, she intends my posting to be quite temporary. However, I have always been a firm believer of the idea, 'if you are put in a temporary position, work as if it were your permanent assignment; it might just become such'. As unlikely as it seems, I could potential secure the Executive Officer position if I am able to prove my competence."

A long pause.

My first order of business is ensuring the legitimacy of the crew and to root out any potential agents working with Rojok in attempt to sabotage this Warbird any further. Subcommander S'Tokkr and Centurion Vordai have been tasked with checking into the background of all fifteen hundred crew members of the Saeihr. The Centurion causes me a small amount of concern with what is likely her background. I have sent a request to the Khre'Riov to declassify her entire dossier for me and will schedule a meeting with her for discussion. She has given me no reason to distrust her so far, save her past and her actions in subverting Rojok's operations upon the Saeihr were in service of the Republic. Still, I would prefer to err on the side of caution.

Perhaps I will order a meeting for all Senior Officers to ensure we are all of the same mind. I will not fail the Republic nor the Khre'Riov so long as I serve aboard this ship.

"I will likely not be in command of the Saeihr for much longer. Apparently we have a new Commander on the way. I am unsure what position this will put me in, as the posting of Operations Officer has been filled while I have acted as Executive Officer in command of the ship. Is it too much to hope I will remain Executive Officer? Perhaps.

The Saeihr’s first mission under my command was a success. We were able to remove the cloaked mine we encountered with no complications. My previous encounter with cloaked mines and the Tutallius proved useful, as did the rest of my officers. The Khre’Riov has decided to deploy us to seek out potential Imperial Warbirds who I suspect have been redeploying the mines under cloak. I am apprehensive, yet anticipatory. It will potentially be the first time the Saeihr sees battle. I am looking forward to see what the flagship of the detachment is able to accomplish in a fight.

In the meantime, my side project is commencing nicely. I have been given the resources I need and those working with me do so diligently. It is only a matter of time.

"Begin Recording.

The Saeihr is a beautiful vessel that has been a joy to command, in spite of the interesting events that appear to be aimed at destroying her status as the Detachment's flag ship.

The most recent appears to have been an AI controlled vessel that was disrupting the Saeihr's cloak. I look forward to reading the reports and the results of the investigation concerning it.

"The Saeihr transported Starfleet Personnel -- specifically Commander William Levesly -- to the Liyan Cluster for something to do with negotiations between the warring alien factions there. Security did their job well and Levesly was limited in what information he was allowed to view while on the Bridge. Commendations to Subcommander Vordai for her work on the Bridge today and assisting while we attempted to diffuse the situation between 15 Star Empire vessels led by Admiral T'Rehu Solius and vessels of the Kirrshan Confederacy of the Liyan Cluster.

I expect to see diplomatic protests from both the Federation and the Klingon Empire to the Star Empire for encroaching in their territory. I also suspect the Star Empire has shadow actors in place within the Liyan Cluster factions manipulating events behind the scenes. I have sent communications to Mol'rihan Command and Exchange Commission Command with a copy of my report to Starfleet as well as my suspicions.

"There has been an extremist group targeting Romulan Civilian Transports. To date, the only known survivor of those attacks is a Romulan child that the Saeihr rescued on Stardate 95620.3. I will not let another child be murdered or left to die by these creatures.

At the Intelligence Briefing that we were given information about the extremists, Subcommander Xodak refused to share the information with the Federation, in spite of the Extremists being members of the Federation and operating within Federation territory. That is a completely illogical choice to make in this instance. Keeping Cloaks and Singularities and other important military equipment secret is perfectly sensible. But not this.

So, when the Saeihr was tasked with providing escort to a Civlian Transport travelling from Mol'Rihan to Deep Space Thirteen, I chose to inform the Federation by way of requesting assistance. The three vessels we detected that were taking up offensive postures (in a defensive formation) were no match for the Saeihr, but that wasn't the point of the excercise. The Commanding Officers of the USS Shackleton and the USS Pegasus now know about the extremists existance. What they do with that information is up to them, but it is my hope that the Romulan Republic and the Federation will work together as the allies they are in hunting down these child killers.

There. The gauntlet is thrown.

"The Detachment has a new Commanding Officer -- Ael'Riov Miral. Riov Davin Mandukar and myself greeted the new Ael'Riov yesterday. My first impression is that he is both familiar and comfortable with command. I doubt he is simply an appointee but rather that he has earned his position through hard work and skill.

During our meeting the Ael'Riov confirmed that he would use the Saeihr as the Detachment's flag ship. I know that after the events of the past year the command staff of the Saeihr will make doubly certain that all will be well with the Ael'riov's security and accommodations. I almost feel sorry for the Ael'Riov's staff.

"The Saeihr was recently contacted by Federation Archaeologists on the Planet Luhtosno with a request to help them access an ancient Debrune archive. After getting permission from Command, we traveled to Luhtosno accompanied by the RRW D'Ishae and the USS Pegasus.

I cannot fathom how any Vulcanoid or Rihanha in their right minds would ever spend any length of time on that frozen ball of ice, and I admit that I had my doubts that the archive even existed. Thank the Elements that the lead Vulcan Archaeologist Skoror requested I remain in the main observation control room as the liason between the archaeologists and the Team. It was at least warm enough in there that my breath didn't freeze. I had every confidence that the Saeihr Team would find a way into the caverns where the supposed Debrune Archive existed.

And they did.

Some kind of native burrowing creature stopped them from actually retrieving the archive. The Archaeologists are hoping for assistance from Federation Biologists and other Scientists to find a way to access the archive without endangering the burrowers or the archaeological teams. I hope they succeed because now my curiousity has gotten the better of me and I would like to view that archive myself.

Aside from the Luhtosno project, the Saeihr Engineering teams have been having issues with repairs in the Ael'Riov's quarters. Apparently the Ael'Riov's staff won't let them enter. I have delegated resposibility of dealing with that to Subcommander Tylen. I have confidence in his ability to deal with the situation to the benefit of all involved.
