Andoria Targetted by Former Great House of Klingon Empire

Responding to a distress call in orbit of Andoria, Starfleet vessels came to the aid of the Lukari research vessel, L.S.S. Reskava. Alongside the Andorian defense fleet, the U.S.S. Hofmann lead the engagement to repel the Klingon vessels, whose origins have since been confirmed to be from the 23rd century, though retrofitted with modern technology.

Furthermore, the flagship vessel was equipped with an unknown superweapon. When deployed, the superweapon’s resultant energy and radiation cascade caused an enormous and unstable spatial anomaly in orbit that temporarily brought the combat to a standstill. Scientists aboard the Hofmann quickly engaged to determine a strategy for handling the rift and managed to close it before the second wave of Klingon attackers. By then, the U.S.S. Enterprise had arrived to reinforce the Alliance vessels and together, they successfully staved off the attackers.

The Klingon vessels have since been identified as remnants of the House of Mo’Kai, originally thought to have been dissolved in 2389 after a century-long blood feud. They are led by the Matriarch J’Ula, whose origins are in the 23rd century. She arrived in the present time after a malfunction in her ship’s weapons systems created a dimensional anomaly large enough to encompass her entire fleet. J’Ula is assumed to have spent her time since in pursuit of reuniting and reviving her House.

We have reached out to representatives of the Klingon Defense Force for comment, but have not received any official response so far.

In the meantime, Starfleet has issued official statements regarding the new form of spatial anomaly, which they have been referring to as a ‘mycelial rift’ due to the unique properties it gives off. While any scientific breakthroughs or breakdowns are being tightly guarded due to the potential danger in weaponization, officials have assured the public that all Starfleet members will be properly instructed on the sanctioned procedures for dealing with any further occurrences.
