NARRATIVE
The Starfleet Diplomatic Consul consisting of the above members were briefed on DS13 prior to randevu with the S.S. Tegabos Treasure. A Ferengi arms dealer by the name of Mutz was on the verge of a deal between several Klingon Houses, including House Sorzal, which would have a negative impact upon federation interest, and increase the likelihood of Klingon Incursions into Federation Space.

Starfleet Command had tasked Captain Bahieh with organizing a team to reach out to ‘Agamon’, Munz’s son; and broker an attempt to stop or delay the sale of weapons to the Klingons. The Diplomatic Consul arrived in full dress aboard the S.S. Tegabos Treasure, and were left waiting several hours aboard what appeared to be a very lavish and mostly automated ship. (the number of crew seen could be counted on one hand…)

Finally, we were escorted to a large ‘throne room’ area, where we were met with Agamon, an adolescent Ferengi, and his attendant (whom had greeted us upon arrival as well as direct us around). Captain Nimitz lead the negotiations; his first offer was to purchase Munz weapons stash with 10% interest over a 50 year term, as well as an additional 5% interest directly to Agamon for ‘finders fee’. However, the Ferengi Child dismissed this offer, instead confusing the Counsel with ‘Clowns’ that were meant to entertain him.

Captain Nimitz then changed his offer, bringing in a sealed container claiming to be a rare ‘Gloppit Egg’ from Dominion Space, to be traded to the child in return for his father’s weapons stash. Agamon counter-offered, demanding a staggering 1 billion bars of Gold Pressed Latinum, to which Captain Nimitz accepted, and wrote a personal check for. (It is this officers understanding that Captain Nimitz comes from a wealthy family line, and has access to such wealth). Once the “Check” had cleared, Agamon would send the shipment of weapons, as well as the location of all other weapons stockpiled by his father to DS13, in return for the Combination Code for the Case containing the “Gloppit egg”.

The child’s attendant drafted the contract with Captain Nimitz to finalize their dealings, and the Consulate Team departed back for DS13.

ADDENDUM

While the main Federation team was engaging with the Ferengi crew I excused myself from the proceedings and was able to infiltrate the operational areas of the vessel.

Once inside I was able to disable and wipe onboard security systems to remove evidence of my actions. From there I altered the vessel’s navigational records and current course to show the ship making multiple stops on or near worlds controlled by competing Klingon factions. I suspect routine review of this navigational data by House Sorzal personnel will cast suspicion on Mr. Mutz, and lead to the cancellation of the planned weapons deal.

RECOMMENDATION Cancel planned transaction for 1,000,000,000 bars Gold Pressed Latinum

OOC Didn’t want to hold people up summarizing this in-game! Also, yes, Davin made a conscious decision not to stop Nimitz’s deal. Sorry, DS-13 Operations Budget! And sorry if I forgot/misrepresented anything, Sam!
