MISSION Cleanup debris field following a battle with Cardassian forces.

OUTCOME Radiation successfully removed. Debris needing clearing.

NARRATIVE The above, with the exception of LCDR Zital, met at central Ops at DS13. Here, Commander Brex briefed us on the issues surrounding the debris field, namely, the presence of thoron radiation which made sensor scans difficult and inaccurate. It was decided that we would tackle the radiation issue first, by using the baryon sweepers to isolate areas of radiation, and fire concentrated bursts of anti-thoron radiation to counter the radiation build up.

It was at this point LCDR Zital entered and helpfully proceeded to reiterate the briefing again.

When our original course of action was again verified, the operation was carried to to great success.

RECOMMENDATION Monitoring of the space to ensure all radiation has been removed. Following this, the debris field should be removed.

RECOGNITION LCDR Suvik was very logical in his handling of the matter.

ADDENDUM There are trace amounts of radiation present and the debris field cleanup is well underway. There is not much more we can gain from this, and I will defer to the cleanup team for any remaining queries.

Personally, it was all quite exciting. Thankfully with everything going our way it all turned out alright. It’s always good to go beyond the job description.
