ADDENDUM At 0658 this morning Talos Junction detected the approach of a large number of vessels and an object of significant mass. Low-emissions protocols were enacted to hide the outpost from orbital sensors.

Surveillance monitored the arrival of 14 starships towing a derelict starbase. The fleet, and its cargo-in-tow proceeded to enter the Yuhop Wormhole. Wormhole rotation cycle tracking places the endpoint at Position 3 in the Alpha-7190 Sector. Far field scanning of YHW Terminus 3 is inhibited by the angle of the Crossroads Nebula and further course tracking was not possible.

Talos Junction remained on low-emission status for an additional three hours as a precaution, but the fleet did not make a return trip. As an additional precaution, Talos Junction will return to low-emissions status in 72 hours in case the ships return to Yuhop in the next cycle.

ANALYSIS Scans confirm that the fleet in question is the same as encountered by USS Dragon at Itrin System. The 14 starships are lightly armed bespoke salvaging vessels consistent with those used by the Doza Salvagers formerly based at Itrin Station.

Note: These vessels almost exclusively operate independently. This level of cooperation is unprecedented and has not been seen in as long as Starfleet has been monitoring the area.

The derelict starbase is also familiar. It is identical to one discovered by USS Asimov on Stardate 92598.7. Long range sensors confirm that the station is no longer present in the D-2483 System.

The starbase is Kilur in origin, and has been salvaged for components for many years. Scans showed that a wide array of new components had been added to the station, presumably components pulled from the wreckage at Itrin, it is likely that such a “Frankenstein station” will require considerable heavy construction before being operational in a new location. Such construction is likely possible with the type and number of scavenger vessels involved.
