NARRATIVE: During an open event hosted onboard the U.S.S. Endeavour, Ensign Terik, Subcommander t'Cyklaas, and Vorta Kalris, along with six other members of the U.S.S. Endeavour fell unconscious. They were immediately taken to the medical bay where Commander Lamb found they were exhibiting extensive neurological behaviour, akin to that experienced whilst dreaming. It was ascertained that the behaviour exhibited by the patients were from an external cause, though, given the relative weakness of the behaviour, the cause had to have been close. The ship was placed on security lockdown, and security teams began to sweep the ship for the cause. This cause was found by this officer, who came across Captain Valencia, Lieutenant Reyes, and Ensign Mitsuki finishing up playing a board game; the game itself was the cause, verified by a message from medical saying that all nine patients had regained consciousness around the same time the game appeared to have concluded.

Security lockdown was lifted, and this officer questioned Captain Valencia, who was the owner of the game. She received the game on Earth Spacedock during her recent leave, and she stated that the game had been slightly damaged, which she had tried to repair. The game itself was a basic board game, with an additional "game mode" which took participating players and put them "in the game" as playing pieces. The mechanism that transferred a user's consciousness into the game had been damaged previously, and Captain Valencia's attempted repair succeeding in unfocusing the game's targeting mechanism from the immediate players around the board to random people onboard the ship.

RECOMMENDATION: This officer has kept the game in quarantine until the mechanism used to transfer the consciousness into the game has been fixed properly, and brought up to comply to current safety regulations. All patients have exhibited no signs of brain damage from the game. This officer recommends no further action is necessary.

OOC: This is the AAR for the event "Holodecks and Hirogen" from what happened outside the game, and what happened after. Individuals in the event may write their own AARs.

Thanks so much for attending! The Holodecks and Hirogen game will be available to play soon ICly, for those interested!
