NARRATIVE USS Reyga received a distress signal from the S.S. Sepia, which was reporting the theft of their archaeological finds from a digsite in the Chapel System. We responded posthaste and tracked a small starship fleeing the region and though we were able to drop out of warp quite near them, their custom-configured vessel was speedy enough to stay just out of tractor range.

Bridge officers were solicited for opinions as we noticed our approach to an asteroid field, which shortened the debate. I gave the order to overload safeties on the sublight thrusters temporarily to give Reyga a short, but necessary, additional burst of speed, enough to get close enough to hit the fleeing vessel with a charged particle burst. The maneuver was successful and interfered sufficiently with their engines and forward momentum enough for us to land a tractor beam.

All archeological relics were returned to S.S. Sepia and we towed the offending vessel to the nearest Federation outpost for processing.
