OUTCOME: Branded Lady forces took the bait in form of cargo with hidden tracking devices. Orion cruiser captured as trophy of war. Tactical data gained on the new type of enemy battleship.

NARRATIVE:
IKS Daramar participated in an operation organized by Starfleet personnel from 38th fleet "Argo". Operation consisted of baiting pirate forces of the orion crime boss Branded Lady into attacking a regular cargo convoy between Legia and New Circini systems. Some of the cargo was rigged by hidden tracking systems and was expected to be taken by pirates during the raid. Convoy was staffed solely by combat-trained MACO personnel and protected by USS Midway while rest of the assigned vessels were dispersed along and close to the convoy route.
Branded Lady's forces took the bait and the convoy was attacked by a force consisting of multiple orion and nausicaan frigates supported by orion cruiser, who were all covering modified transport ship which was tasked with stealing the cargo. USS Midway provided respectable resistance and after taking some damage faked warp core overload, sending a fake distress call.
IKS Daramar arrived on the scene of the battle first and drew most of the enemy fire. Other task force vessels started arriving on the scene, either defending the fleeing freighters (who were by this moment "freed" of tracked cargo) or focusing on the remaining enemy ships. As main enemy ship was disabled, we were suprised by the arrival of battleship sized vessel who took the heat of the retreating enemy ships and joined them in their escape.
After confirmation that all the mission critical cargo was successfully taken by the fleeing enemy vessels, and that all freighters and their crews were safe, we returned to DS 13 with captured enemy cruiser in tow.
RECOMMENDATION:
Prisoners and computer core taken from the disabled cruiser by USS Camelot are to be processed. Tactical information regarding the new enemy ship will be analyzed and shared by all participating parties.
