NARRATIVE LCDR Suvik arranges for a handful of personnel to respond to a signal that originated from the freighter, SS Miveti. Message stated that the freighter originated from the mirror universe and had a urgent message for Starfleet. Upon response, the freighter captain states that the message was from a crewmember and was intended as a prank. Freighter was known to regularly dock with the station and credentials showed no signs of tampering. ENS Pendragon was attached to the Bonny and they were tasked with interception of the SS Miveti.
Pendragon and Bodin were allowed to board the Miveti upon interception, and initial readings from cargo manifest and ship itself showed no evidence of coming from a different universe. Pendragon, Bodin, and the freighter captain proceed towards cargo bay for quick inspection, whereupon a Cardassian is being beaten by a member of the freighter crew. Upon failure to turn the ship around and return to DS13 for full inspection, Captain insisted on continuing their flight, despite being asked multiple times to return to the Starbase, stated, “Maybe we are from a different universe,” which prompt Bodin and Pendragon to detain crew and tow the freighter to DS13. Bodin’s crew rapidly boarded and captured the freighter. No fighting broke out. Cardassian was taken directly to the medical wing for treatment.
RECOMMENDATION Have more seasoned officers review all information gathered by ENS Pendragon and the crew of the SS Anne Bonny. Question Cardassian when he is recovered enough. Release freighter and crew upon completed investigation.
RECOGNITION Sabine Bodin and her crew performed exceptionally in occupying the SS Miveti with no casualties or incident.
