MISSION Approach and dock at New Itrin Station to meet with Seres Avlin and hear her request.
OUTCOME New Itrin Station was harboring a small population of Itrin refugees/survivors. Population of 262 individuals was escorted to Deep Space 13, along with their two vessels.

NARRATIVE
Personnel gathered in USS Reyga’s conference room for conference call with Seres Avlin, to receive specific instructions on approaching New Itrin Station. The salvaged station is a hodgepodge of Kilur and Itrin origin, and orbits the black hole that is all that remains in the Azed System. Safe approach can only be calculated from within the black hole’s accretion disc. We received the strict flight path instructions and were able to successfully dock and met our contact aboard the station.
We were then taken to a secured cargo bay where we were introduced to Elder Koenraddyariel, speaking on behalf of the Itrin population. He had a twofold request for us. First that their group would not be safe on New Itrin Station long tern, so they would need safe passage off the station and temporary housing elsewhere. Secondly, they were in search of a new homeworld and had heard Starfleet would be able to aid with such a mission.
I was able to agree to at least the first request, offering the group safe passage back to Deep Space 13. Cargo Bay 23 has been set aside for their use.
RECOMMENDATION 38th Command should review the request for a new homeworld/colony for the Itrin refugees.
It is worth considering that the small population size of their group will make it difficult for the population to propagate indefinitely into the future. Possible solutions to this problem should be proposed with sensitivity.
