NARRATIVE The above officers gathered at Talos Junction for a briefing from Starfleet Intelligence about the situation in the Intarious system. The majority of the ships from the “Terran Empire” were holding in this system, with the belief that they were preparing to retreat to their universe. A task force consisting of Dragon, Asimov, Endeavour, and Morgenstern departed Talos Junction en-route to force the enemy to withdraw before they could inflict damage on the local population of Intarious.

The naturally dense radiation of the Intarious system greatly reduced long-range sensor acuity. Upon arrival, we identified three enemy groups of approximately 5 ships each holding over major planetary bodies of the system. Without the support to engage all enemy vessels at once, we elected to advance on Rahkeria, the most heavily populated planet. The mirror universe forces opened with a hail, and although it was clear they had no intention of negotiating, they made no offensive actions even after trading insults with Captain Tungsten. Suspecting that they were stalling for time, we initiated a scan of the planet below aboard Asimov.

Scans revealed a number of large energy buildups with technology profiles incompatible to the local database, surrounded by human lifesigns (presumed mirror univers forces). Asimov’s aeroshuttle was dispatched to quietly take a closer look at one such sites while the enemy continued their inaction. Unexpectedly, the craft encountered a severe beam of radiation being diverted from orbit towards the source of the energy buildup. It was at this point we noticed one of the mirror universe vessels purposefully repositioning one of the orbital satellites, which were designed by the local population to divert radiation away from the planet. The mirror universe invaders had inverted their purpose.

Believing the radiation buildup on the planet to be a severe hazard to its local population, we engaged to interrupt the process. Regrettably, one satellite-station was destroyed instead of simply re-positioned due to a miss-coordination. At this point a mirror universe vessel fired a volley of torpedoes upon the planet, which were luckily intercepted by Dragon’s fighter wings, save one which made landfall. The enemy ships above the planet were then engaged. Dimensional rifts were detected from the other groups of enemy vessels, which they retreated through. After a brief conflict, the group above Rahkeria produced their own rift and retreated as well.

Attempts were then made to assess and mitigate damage in the wake of the battle. The local government was contacted, and while they noted our assistance, they were not interested in our further trespassing of their territory. With the enemy forces left behind on the planet succumbing to the radiation of their own devices, we resolved to reposition Rahkeria’s satellite arrays back to their intended purpose and depart the system.

RECOMMENDATION Extend a formal offer of aid to the people of the Intarious system, as we have for other non-Federation peoples affected by the mirror universe invasion. While it appears a full retreated has been issued by the enemy, the fleet should remain on high alert for any mirror universe forces still lingering in the Doza sector.

RECOGNITION The pilots of Dragon’s fighter wings saved potentially billions of innocent lives by their effective interception of the planet-bound torpedo volley. They should each be recognized with high honours.

OOC Thanks the event guys, I’m really glad 10 billion people did not die today. Extra special thanks to kermit for storycrafting and gming, and guiding us through this wonderfully destructive arc!
