OUTCOME Klingon vessel restored to original course and crew rescued from the influence of a psychotropic secretion from a cosmozoan creature.

KEY PERSONNEL

NARRATIVE Upon arrival at the vessels last known position, attempts to communicate were conducted, however it appears that the communication array had been disconnected.

Outward appearances seemed to suggest the vessel was originally a colony ship, however the vessel had roughly 20 years worth of wear and tear, it is likely the original colony plan was either abandoned or this vessel was otherwise used as a colony in of itself. The vessel otherwise seemed to be in a state of disrepair, though more from lack of maintenance than any actual damage.

The vessel contained 381 Klingon lifesigns, with assorted other life such as cattle and voles. There was movement detected in the vessel but no one responded to any attempts to communicate, including visual methods of communication in the form of lights through known populated portholes.

Ensign Gha’Kahrr was able to identify a radio signal which appeared to be coming from the structure of the ship itself, however the signal was matching reference Klingon brain wave scans, though with some abnormal Theta wave readings.

Lieutenant Thyzee then attempted to mentally communicate with the vessel’s occupants. The occupants appeared to be in some form of euphoric mental state, seemingly under the influence of a psychotropic substance.

Both officers then proceeded to devise a method to cancel the theta waves emanating from the vessel, this resulted in the crew of the Klingon vessel regaining their alertness and resuming their original course.

The Klingon Captain had informed this officer that they had been hunting a cosmozoan creature which had some resemblance to a Kos’karii, and had secreted upon the hull of the vessel, likely as a method to avoid capture.

RECOMMENDATION An alert should be issued for the area of space where this creature was discovered to ensure no further vessels fall under this influence as it is as yet unknown how long these secretions naturally last.

RECOGNITION Both Lieutenant Thyzee and Ensign Gha’Kahrr held themselves to the highest standards expected of Starfleet officers.

OOC This was a fun impromptu event, sorry I ambushed your desire for a quick drink though, ElvenLord!
