MISSION USS Bark and Endeavour Shuttle craft responding to a distress call
OUTCOME The USS Bark had been sent after the USS Endeavour had picked up a distress signal from a civilian vessel. A shuttle craft carrying an away team for a separate mission was also in the area and responded.

NARRATIVE The USS Bark had been sent to investigate a distress signal that the Endeavour had intercepted. Upon arrival into the system the Bark was instantly in the action. Two Pirate vessels were assaulting a Civilian vessel and one of our shuttle craft. The Shuttle Craft had been sent on a separate away mission to begin an initial survey of a nearby Ocean World when they also picked up the distress signal.
We engages the pirates and had them on the ropes, when the shuttle craft informed us that one member of their away team had not been able to beam back over from the civilian craft. It is believed that one of the pirate vessels made use of a tractor beam to interrupt the transporter beam and instead beam him over to one of their ships.
The bark continued to engage the pirates before they retreated from the system with Lieutenant Lee still aboard. The Civilian Vessel had made it’s escape earlier in the battle as well. I recalled the shuttle craft to the Endeavour for a full debriefing as the Pirate vessels had masked their warp trails.
Upon debriefing the crew explained how Lieutenant Sovum and Lieutenant Lee had beamed over as the civilian vessel reported they had injured. Upon beaming over Sovum and Lee were practically instantly attacked by the ‘injured’ crew. A Pair of Nausciaans attacked and engaged Veneela and Minhyuk in hand to hand combat.
Lieutenant Lee fought the pair off while Sovum tried to get the shield down that the Civilian crew member had raised. The Civilian crew member was apprently terrified and said she was forced to do this or they would take her son…
Veneela successfully got the shield down, and Lieutenant’s Mitsuki and Reyes were able to beam her back over to the shuttle craft safely while Lieutenant Lee was taken.
RECOMMENDATION Rescue Operations are currently underway to find the missing Lieutenant. Teams will gather information from Civilian sources to track down the pirates and find Lieutenant Lee.
RECOGNITION The shuttle crew performed admirably as they were first on scene, despite being out matched and taken by surprise by the pirates the crew came away mostly unharmed and did everything they could to prevent the abduction of Lieutenant Lee.
