MAJ Valencia, G.
LOCATION Cargo Bay 16, Deep Space 13
MISSION Investigate and neutralise a suspected gas leak that was posing a risk to other cargo.
OUTCOME Leak identified as compromised Thyrivian spice containers. Crates resealed, transported under containment, and ventilation restored.

NARRATIVE A response team was assembled to deal with reports of a suspected gas leak in Cargo Bay 16. The incident was complicated by a Ferengi merchant demanding immediate remediation to safeguard his valuable cargo.
On entering the bay, a bluish-purple haze was observed. Sensor interference made standard tricorder scans unreliable. Improvised solutions were deployed: CAPT Carter configured a multi-tricorder array, while I created a fan device to disperse the haze locally.
It was determined that the gas was not the result of atmospheric contamination, but rather particulate matter leaking from damaged Thyrivian spice containers. The spice proved non-toxic but caused significant sensor disruption and mechanical fouling. Malfunctioning ventilation was traced to congealed particulates within isolinear control chips; CMDR Eunbi, under my supervision, corrected this with component replacement.
CAPT Carter and LT Beles located compromised containers using improvised scanning methods. Locking mechanisms were jammed; controlled phaser sweeps resealed them. Three crates were identified as compromised. Once stabilised, they were transported under containment to secure storage. Ventilation systems resumed operation and cleared residual particles.
RECOMMENDATION Though the Thyrivi seem new to the whole space travel stuff, engineering should review their container standards for compliance. Operations should perform a full purge and cleaning of the ventilation systems in the cargo bay.
RECOGNITION All officers did well. Captain Carter and Commander Eunbi worked well to repair systems, whilst Lieutenant Beles performed excellently, helping out where she could and holding the fan very well. Lieutenant Thyzee also helped me get down from some boxes that I happened to find myself on top of. Somehow.
OOC This is the AAR for the event Stacking Shelves. Thank you, everyone, for coming and participating. It was fun to see how everyone added to the RP with their own ideas to make it more fun!
