AAR:
On stardate 92059.8 myself, Captain Pailes, Commanders Helstone and T'irin, and Lieutenant Commander Caspius received instructions to investigate three gravitational anomalies. A missing star in a binary star system charted 85 years prior by an excelsior class starship, a comet orbiting a lone yellow dwarf who's prograde orbit suddenly changed to a retrograde one, and a singularity with no associated gravitational forces. The Asimov and Galatea proceeded to each position and verified the initial reports; however, there was no physical explanation for the situations. Radation levels were normal, and scans of the surrounding area revealed no abnormal results. The lead theory aboard both ships was the original scans were either incorrect, or had been tampered with. The systems in question seemed to all be stable condition, as if the anomalous behavior was our normal.

With the previous two surveys yielding no answers, the singularity seemed like the most promising chance to unravel the cause for the new, sudden readings. Upon arrival the singularity was found to be nine light years off from what our readings indicated. While the Asimov remained in the area the Galatea moved off 9LY's to investigate. A short while later sensors detected a surge of tachyons from a point in space that matched the pre-arrival location of the singularity. The Asimov started to drift towards this point. At this time, contact with the Galatea was lost when long range sensors and communications failed. Helm was unable to engage the warp drive, and full impulse was not sufficient to overcome the sudden gravitational pull. As engineering was attempting to divert power short range sensors reported a sudden spike in chronitons and registered 16 unknown contacts. Immediately after this reading main power was lost for roughly 20 seconds. When power was restored the singularity had moved back to it's proper position, no contacts were reported, and radiation and particle levels had returned to normal.

Attempts to contact the Galatea were unsuccessful. Sensors was unable to locate the vessel on long and short range scans. When Deep Space 13 was contacted it was revealed the station had no record of our original mission. According to operations the Asimov was on a mission along TR-528, attempting to discover a pirate base hidden in the Treyur nebula. The Galatea was docked at Deep Space 13, having just returned from a patrol circuit of the Betazed sector. When Captain Perim was notified of the discrepancies an investigation was started into the matter.

This event is still under investigation. Logs are attached.
