BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Amelia is a hardworking and bookish engineer who made her career in Starfleet repairing and designing ships. Her mother and father first met when Chiara was working as a waitress in a hotel in Santa Maria di Leuca. Matthaios caught her eye when he was in port with his father and made it a habit of sailing across from his native Greece to see her. Eventually, the pair married and Amelia was born a year later.
Amelia grew up on the coastline alternating between sailing with her father and working at the hotel that her mother now owned. In her spare time, she would play around the cliffs and beaches of southern Italy. A family holiday took them off planet to Mars, and it was this trip that caught young Amy's eye to the joy of space exploration. She applied for Starfleet Academy and passed the test easily.
At the academy, she was studious and competitive, acing her classes and participating, surprisingly, in MMA tournaments. Upon graduation, she was offered a post at Utopia Planitia which she accepted. Upon her promotion, she was assigned to the USS Firefox and later the USS Hadron, where she would stay until a request for a short term transfer to the Laikan Shipyards was filed. There, she helped work on the USS Endeavour before the ship's launch (and subsequent drydocking) the following year.
Following this, she was transferred as drydock manager for Deep Space 3. Her exploits earned her another promotion and she was once again assigned to a ship, the USS Humboldt, this time as Chief Engineer. As she settled in for a long stay as the Chief Engineer, she was given a rather surprising offer; a promotion and the position of First Officer on the USS Endeavour. She tentatively accepted and arrived on the USS Endeavour to eagerly see where her new post would take her.
